Since there has been a bit of confusion in regards to what it is okay and not okay for the sheriff to do, we came up with simple answer,  showing you all the rules that the sheriffs are bound to play by:

Quote

(Revisions since the last event are bold and red)

Rules:
  • No team kills
  • No drowning or intentionally destroying your tank so players don’t receive gold
  • No tank companies or training rooms
  • No predetermined battles with clan mates (no trying to get in battles with clans to purposefully give them gold - ie counting down to enter a battle together)
  • No intentionally advancing to a an enemy mate to “offer” them free gold (ie placing yourself in a easy kill position for a friend).
  • No Recruiting for you clan while on a sheriff accounts
  • No telling a player they will be banned.  Just report them via a support ticket.
  • There is no need to report Team Killing.
  • You may platoon with friends, but NOT other sheriffs.
  • You will also be responsible for the actions of  players that you platoon with.  If you choose to platoon please choose you allies carefully.
  • Your own personal account could be directly influenced by any punishable actions done on the Sheriff accounts reserved under your name
  • Announce at the beginning of each battle your presence in the battle using the message below.
  • Do not share these accounts with more than 2 trusted people - it is your own responsibility to make sure these accounts are not abused.
  • Please try to cover as many tiers as possible - 1250 Free EXP for a new player is a great surprise ;)
  • If a friendly player is abusing of physics, you can warn them that doing so can be severely punished.
You are all allowed a single account that you are solely responsible for. If I find out that one of that account was abusing of their status, you will be held responsible.

If anyone has questions of comments please feel free to post below.

As always I am always open to suggestions that anyone has.

Good to see the rules, now players will see what they are allowed and what the sheriffs are not allowed so there won't be as much confusion

Thanks for posting rules, I don't know how well the tiers are being spread, but no matter, it's a free offer

Oh, and +1

you all have to be part of a clan and either be the Commander or the Deputy Commander
if neither one wants to be the rep for CoaF, then you can volunteer with Mugsy_ and he'll make it happen

also it helps if you are someone that has some control of the clan, like myself, I'm a Field Commander in my clan but none of the
higher ranked players in my Clan wanted to do it so I volunteered and got it.

By being a member of CoaF, you are able to do sheriff events, etc

hope that helps

Thanks for posting the rules for all to see perhaps this will put an end to some of the confusion some players seem to have over what sheriffs can and cannot do :)

I would really like to volunteer.  I would play tier 1-5 for them to earn 500g  :)

That sucks. I'd be a good sheriff. I'm a sub-veteran forum troll whose also spent a couple buckets of money on this game(I know, I know, bad bad bad excuse but I couldn't help it), but since I am not able to participate within a clan I am locked out of playing a certain role in a community event?  :Smile_sceptic:
Kinda cheap, imo.

Well you could apparently be the "Commander" of a clan; however, I don't know how well established it would need to be.

Either way, I'd personally just like to do it, because I've had times where I never saw a single sheriff during the entire event. Although this past one was better, and I saw four.

I don't understand your logic, but, I saw 3, I really think it'd be fun

I'm saying I never saw a single sheriff during some past events.

As posted in the other 2-3 threads by myself & others, everyone knows the Sheriff's may platoon.  The rule itself should be looked at to cut down on all the people ingame complaining about it.
