Well...  it seems that unfortunately WG decided that the Sheriff bonus had to go.   Not only does it seem they steered to away from Gold,  the equivilant value is about 10% of what it used to be.

Was it because WG felt the bonus was out of line with the "Operation XXX" specials?

Was it because accusations were flying that clans were abusing the accounts for Gold/XP farming via click-ins and platoons?

Was too much money coming out of WG's pockets?

I am disappoint.

OK so for this sheriff event they have replaced the 500 gold with 1250 XP nothing in there says its going to become the norm chances are they are just trying something different which isnt anything new they have allways tried to mix it up and offer the community different events and rewards maybe they are just trying to stop the stupidity that the chance of winning 500 gold seems to bring with it ingames

Probably trying to find the balance.  They want to give us a nice reward, without making people go full retard trying to get that reward.

Likely an impossible goal.

well while 1250 free exp is not that great(compared to gold) its still not that bad. Ill take it besides you still get the credits and exp for dmging/killing them

The 500 Gold mostly likely that people have won in the past were used for Free XP conversion anyway.

Damn, I never got a sheriff before the change. I was hoping to pick up another 500 gold for a Churchill III or one of the other tier 5 premiums (any suggestions there appreciated).

Oh well.

I don't care about the change, gold is prefered due to free xp conversion, but it isn't like we see these guys every match we are in so any bonus is a bonus. Although 1250 xp doesn't seem like enough when you compare it to 500 gold. Should be a larger amount.

I bagged a Sheriff this last weekend and specifically looked.  I got 500 gold.

if they made the reward 1250 free exp i think most people would be happy. as it is, i play a lot of capped tanks, so exp bonuses dont matter as much. gold on the other hand had a real dollar value.
