new map ideas

pressure96's Photo pressure96 Dec 27 2012

heres a new  map idea. how about a map from d day. one team starts out  on land and rushs to the beach. the other team starts out in  landing craft beached. they rush the beach and  go up the hills to the neutral  base.

another idea is the hedge roads from ww2. u have hedge rows along the  sides and the teams  start at each end and they must get to the neutral base or destory the  other tanks.

I would like a large valley in Asia with wooded hills and mountains on the edges and rice fields on the bottom. Bottom should be mostly flat with just a few farmhouses. Raised berms with narrow dirt roads on top separating the fields.

I want hedgerows so I can flank to the max! This is wherever the Brits and Americans got held up though, that's what I mean.

Not at all like Dragon Ridge. That map has mountains and pockets throughout the map. More like El Halluf with an Asian theme. The large center area would be somewhat like the middle of Prokorovka with its open area with ridges.

I also like the idea of a European hedgerow map. Many of the hedges should be somewhat tougher to destroy than normal trees.  Small gaps would be great for concealed ambushes.

My Asian valley would work as a winter map. The fields become frozen and more easily passable and the trees provide less concealment. This provides less incentive for camping.

The hedge row map could be fun. As for a D Day map might be one sided one team starting in sand that slows them down, and the other team on a hill with lots of cover.

in vietnam they did to a point use tanks. but the asia map would have be like for light tanks, heavy tanks would bog down. the d day tank map would be open to change, it wold need changing but would be a fun map

How about a fully wooded, corner to corner map.

The beach map would be an excellent assault map. And the game needs maps specifically designed to the new modes. Good idea.

I thought about the all woods map before. I think it is a great idea.

How about map which backs to other map, in other words, make map extension to Prohorovka or El Halluf. Show where roads, rail lines go, etc, = fun

hopefully i'm not the only one,but on maps with Lots of trees and shrubs,my ping goes up and my fps goes down,so much that they are almost unplayable as it is.a fully wooded map would mean i would have to sit at base and hope to at least get a shot or two off before i died.I would have to vote 'no' on that one,if i had the choice.

Fair point. Although if it were something like a winter in the Ardennes map then there would be little foliage. That might make it more playable on less powerful computers.
