As many of you may or may not know, Retired 4 star general H. Norman Schwarzkopf died today at the age of 78.
Those of us that served are very familier with this mans leadership and hte sense of pride he instilled in the US Military,

My question is how hard would it be to have the in-game flags flown at half mast for a week in honor of this great mans' passing?

I find it so hard to take you seriously with that avatar, but I agree with the proposal ;)

Being a Russian designed game probably not going to happen. But it is a good suggestion.

Yea, but the problem is that since W.o.T. is owned by WG which is based in Russia, I really don't think they would change the game mechanics or at least allow the NA branch to change the game mechanics to do that.

Also, will they do it for every German general, every British General, French General...  What is the criteria to be used to determine whether someone is worthy?  A rather large kettle of fish here I'm afraid.

I don't know for sure, but I'd imagine it would require changes to the actual maps. If so, an event like this would probably be excessively labor intensive.

I think they swapped out the flagpoles for trees a few holidays ago. I'm not sure how the maps are set up, but they could try that.

That said, they'd need a model of the flag at half mast, and I don't know if Wargaming NA has any modelers, or has enough control to do that.

Reason enough not to worry about it, it was just a thought.
