Hello

I just played s-35 td with 90mm gun hit the rear of an ElC what have 10mm armor and still dealt 0 damage pen, as I watched back the video I saw that the shot hit the commanders hatch, I would accept if it would bounce but the crew said "we hit them hard" so penetration  but no damage.

If the icon of the tank blinks white, then you know that you have a critical hit (the commander lost 3/4 of his brain with that shot...but he can grow it back if given a med-kit *facepalm*). I've seen many of these shots where I get a penetrating hit, yet a module the size of a wallnut ate the 122 shell entirely and the tank recieved no damage....Working as intended :Smile_trollface-3:

even if the whole torso of your enemy commander bursts out, med-kit will revive it like Jesus.

You just need a little faith...  :Smile_trollface-3:

More likely than not, that shot ended up being eaten by the ELC's 'Observation Device' Module.

This is ridiculous 10mm armor man and with that 10 ton it would fly to moon with that shot.

Nah.
Sometimes it would just make a 5" hole on in the paper armor on one side, pass through mostly air
in the vehicle, and make a 5" hole in the paper armor on the other side of the vehicle.

well reason for that is very simple mechanic of this game are pretty bad i.ve hit an e-100 19 times 16on the side where is armour is weaker spent 10 gold round that did no more the 800 damage even hitting him at the right place where i should blown him off but since the mechanic of this game are bad like i said this game is made that 1 side will do more damage and penetration then the other side so to proove that even there gold round aren't worth the gold spent they'res a lot of fixing needit in this game but the only fix they do is nerf stuff

You only just barely...  BARELY nicked the edge of the cupola on that one.

It probably would have been an automatic bounce due to the angle of impact, but the overmatch rule means you automatically "penetrate".

In any case, at no point would that shell have hit the actual main hull or turret of the tank, so it's really not surprising that you didn't do damage.

The problem is that devs do nothing with the game mechanics just care abaut making new overpowered premium tanks what will be nerfed in the next patch. Armored  tanks are so badly underpowered now because of the gold ammo that makes fast weak armored tanks overpowered,  tier 8 tanks can pen t10 armor with no problem. Man even a junkyjard t50-2 pen jpe100 rear armor what is 150mm even a t49-m10 can do it  what is this nonsense. E100 have  a weakpoint in front and a  weakpoint on the back of its turret that even a vk3601 can pen with Ap not gold ammo.

I've had a shot do full damage to my StuG and it hit one of the 2 roadwheels on the back of the tank. :Smile_sceptic:

Say you drive a car. I come and take off the emblem. Suddenly, your car 'splodes and transforms itself in a load of pretty twisted metal.

It's a game.  In this game any shot has a chance of being a pen with zero damage.

My guess would be that it hit the observation device. No HP, but module damage.

Non-damage pens are only  misunderstood by NA players; the rest of the world seems to understand them.  Think about real shots to a person's body.  A bullet can go through completely through a person, hit nothing vital and cause little more than minor bleeding and pain.  Penetrating the outer shell of armor does not mean you hit anything vital inside.  With spaced armor, you can pen the outer shell but be stopped by the inner shell.

Everyone knows the crews get sent fruit cakes for the holidays and those things are so hard they can block anything. So likely you hit the hatch and the commander was holding his fruit cake which just absorbed the shoot. :)

I wonder if WG will ever implement penetrating shots that go straight through tanks, causing relatively little damage.

Unfortunately, the fruitcake usually doesn't make it and losing the fruitcake causes the crewmember to spend the rest of the battle weeping at his post - until you break out a replacement from the emergency fruitcake kit.
