Please Do Not

I have seen a lot of well meaning tankers attempt to push a slower tank with their faster one and hit the slower tank so hard as to do considerable damage to themselves. With the way team damage is currently set up the slower tank will have to pay the pusher for the damage do to them, in effect paying for the push.
So again, if you see me in my Lowe or IS-4, please do not try and push me, I'll get there eventually.
Thank you for your time.

I always slow down to match the pushees speed before giving them an assist. At the top of the hill or sight of a red tank, I veer off.

I also push the slower vehicles if my armor is thick enough in the front to do so. I really only do it to the T95 cause everything else is fast enough to make it to the battle.

I enjoy pushing my heavies as well. Ive had several tell me to @#$% off though - why do they do this?
(Yes I always slow down before I hit them so that I dont hurt myself.)

Lots of people do that to my T28 Prototype and then they take 5 damage and then I just want to shoot them. But getting to 20 in my Prototype is a treat.

I haven't damaged anyone yet while pushing, most people are thankful for the boost up the first hill before battle begins.
I welcome any boosts if I am chugging up a hill at 8kph!

I like to push the bots and AFKs. You want to go walk away for the entire battle? Fine, you will serve in some fashion then as my shield. Or bait, in some instances. People just cannot resist shooting an AFK tank, even when there are more important targets.

no fine i think.
i meet some guy that wanna ram me intentionally so he could get fine money but when i check the scoreboard after a match i didn't get fine.
So its all good for those like to give ya a boost or itz?

Pushing AFKs for shields? Not going to lie, that's a pretty ingenious idea. Looks like I found a new tactics in my heavier tanks.

I don't see what would be so hard about asking someone if they needed/wanted a push before doing it. Nor would it be a stretch to ask your teammates if you wanted a push. It ain't that hard to be a good team player.

Really? Yesterday I pushed a T-95 (I asked first) and we were cruising at 16kph, 13 going up a slight incline. I was in a 50 120. Since the speed limit on a T-95 is 13, I don't think he would've been going that fast uphill alone. Maybe the patch just took out the insane speeds that they were able to get up to previously?

One reason not to push is that if you get flagged as dealing even 1 pt of damage to a friendly, you forfeit any medals/achievements for that match. I know I've lost steel wall several times due to someone pushing me without asking and taking a couple points of damage and so I lose the medal. I lose sniper a lot on my Church (easy since you can rapid fire from close up) and everyone wants to push the Church faster LOL . I certainly don't freakout or go ballistic about it, but it annoys me at the end when I check stats to see I should have gotten a sniper or steel wall, really anything, and didn't get it because one person helped me get up the hill 5 secs faster.

Battles are not won or lost by pushing a slower tank. The one or two KPH you might add are meaningless in the overall battle. The damage I have to pay you for is an irritant and you being behind me means I can't back up to evade a shot. I know you mean well by trying to push me but remember I also mean well when I shoot you for your misguided effort. Dash out in front and shoot someone red if you really want to help the battle.

for the most part I'm thankful for the assist a push gives and I try to say so. If I pay a fine for it, I'll call it cab fare and hope the extra speed to the firing line helps the team win the match. The difference in credits between winning and losing usually more than offsets any fine and if you look at my numbers, you'll see that losing is something I have some experience with so I know from whence I speak

I typically ask if someone needs a push first and match their speed before contact. Ramming a friendly is just dumb. That said, people giving allies a push need to be mindful of positioning as well. I almost always stop pushing just shy of reaching the crest of a hill. That way they aren't forced into a fight and can retreat if needed. It can be done intelligently
