Hello all

I'm looking to see if the current equipment and consumables on my Hetzer is ok.  Or should something be added or taken off.

Mounted: Vents,Binos,Camo net.    Consumables: repair kit, chocolate, first aid.

I was thinking of adding a gun rammer?  If its a must have, what should be de-mounted?
Gun laying drive is kind of pricey , but is it a must have also?

Thanks for any help

Mike

Here's how a Hetzer should be layed out:

1) Use the 105mm Derp gun.

2) Equipment: Binocs, Rammer and GLD

3) Consumables: Repair kit, First Aid kit, and Fire Extinguisher (If you don't catch on fire much, than replace, but don't need a gold consumable)

4) Crew: 100% Primary, Camo, Repairs, Sixth Sense for cmdr, driver needs clutch braking, gunner needs designated target, loader needs safe stowage.

If you can get all that, you will dominate on the battlefield.

I love my hetzer fully upgraded and with 99 percent crew. You dont need anything except ventalation which is what I have. You will kill many things with the derp on its own. Get somethings on your other tanks and save this one for last.

Try to buy some premium ammo for the 10,5 too. When you are in a bind it can really help just don't forget to switch back or you will really bleed credits lol.

All of the above except the 10.5cm Derp Gun.....My opinion is based upon 807 Battles in my Hetzer and a 53% win rate is run the 75L48 it is a more versatile gun, our friend above here has 19 Battles in his Hetzer and a 50% win rate.

So you can decide whose opinion to follow.....

I hated the Hetzer with a fiery passion but it is true the 10,5 is very situational. The round is very, very slow.

Well, have you tried the 10,5? It dominates in the playing field and you can one-shot nearly anything. You can two-shot a KV if you know where to aim.

Well I'll have to say if your running the 105 derp vent and rammer are the 2 best additions.
Cammo might be good as a 3rd slot, but GLD or bino's can serve well also.
BIA is also needed when running a derp gun, you want all the help you can get loading that monster shell!

The 10.5 cm derp is a very good gun. However, this is a tier 4 TD and TDs seem to have a better chance at getting into higher tier matches. If you go with the 10.5 cm, pack some premium rounds.

I would ALWAYS go with the gun rammer.

Still a few battles before I have enough points to up grade any gun. Already upgraded the engine and susp.

It's one of my favorite tanks.  Get as much camo as you can, and you're an invisible monster, taking people by surprise.

I use vents, rammer, and a camo net.

I second the motion to have a few gold in your hopper – for emergency use only.

I think Camo Net and Binos are the best Equipment choice for TDs ("must have").

the aim time is good, so you dont need a GLD. and the guns load fast, unless you are using the 10.5, then you might want a rammer.

GLD is crazy expensive and only goes on tanks I plan on keeping.... OR if you plan on using the gold to demount it when you sell the tank.

If I was kitting out a Hetz that I planned on selling later, I would start:

Vents , Binoc, CamoNet

then go:

Vents, Rammer, Binocs (or net).

I would use the 105 because I have no problem with the long shell flight time (I run a VK2801 alot, so I'm used to lobbing shells onto moving targets) I however, use the 75/L70 on my stugg. The pen and the flat trajectory are simly awesome, so use what works for you on the hetz.

Learn vision mechanics. You've got great camo, you ought to be able to invisi-tank real well. If you have the space, BACK UP from the bush you are hiding in and shoot. You will lose sight on the tank, and have to pull forward to see through the bush, but he will NEVER see you.

i use the derp on my hetzer. havent really tried the good 75mm, but i assume the derp is better unless you are sniping. gonna test that theory is a few minutes

I use the 10.5 on my hetzer (350 games with a 56% win rate if that helps to qualify my opinion) and it works fine and the reload isn't too terrible, especially if you slap a rammer on it.  But really I would recommend trying to trying both the 10.5 and the 75L48 to find out which one fits your play style best.  Wouldn't really load too many gold rounds on it as you'll chew up your profits in a couple shots if you do, but I carry a few just in case I need them.

If you want to toss around stats I got a  57.75% win rate with my Hetzer and do use the derp...
