Tank Weathering

OK, I had this Idea and wanted to know what you guys think of it.
A players tanks should "weather" in accordance with how many battles they have fought. More specifically, here's how it would go:
1-100 battles: Crisp, shiny, well kept looking. Vehicles at this stage would look fresh from the factory.
101-200 battles: Slightly Grimy, a few scratches and dings, maybe a few oil stains.
201-350 battles: Numerous mud splatters and scratches, a few large impacts even. Oil stains galore, and rust spots starting to emerge.
351+ battles: Rust and oils stains everywhere, paint is very pale and sun damaged, and a few panels are missing. Mud is all over the vehicle, making it look very worn.
Since not all players like a war weathered vehicle, there would be an option to turn this feature off.
Well, what do you think? Questions, comments and concerns should be left below.

Has been suggested before. I liked it then, I like it now.
However, I suggest that the amount of battles needed for the next level of weathering would vary by tier. Getting your tier 1 fully weathered requires dedication, getting your tier 9 fully weathered is almost a given considering how much time you spend in it.

I know some players would have problems with this because their tank would not look shiney and new. Me Meh. Another question that I would like to ask is what would the new modules look like, for example a new researched turret with this proposal? Would it look new or worn?

I think it'd be cool, and making it optional should appease anyone who likes their tanks crisp and clean at all times.

In all reality none of these tanks lasted long enough to get surface rust

umm excuse me but umm you never pressed the REPAIR button??? If you tank never dies, I can see this idea happening but if it dies, it is essentially a new tank so...this idea is moot.

The french tanks already are weathered and rusty/muddy. I've never bothered looking closely at the other nations, as that would be cheating on my mistress.

I think this would be really awesome, However I can also see how people would cry "low battle noob" and basically be a serverside e-peen swinging test to see who has more battles in what, or just to randomly hate on people advancing through a tier, basically how some people with XVM act.
And having my hellcat all rusty and worn would be epic. + the fall camo? = sexy
