So, am I a wallet warrior?

Errants's Photo Errants Jan 03 2013

Reading posts and advice and whatnot, and a common thread seems to be that a player should not be able to purchase a Premium Tank above a Tier he has unlocked normally, or more restrictive, above a tier and in a nation/line he's not unlocked normally.

And I'm rocking my SPersh, and considering buying a Jagd 8.8.

My highest tank is an AMX 13 75, that I have courtesy only of the AMX 12t being bumped to VI from V. I did grind the 13 75 from the 12t with the 12t as a VI though. Do I not rate my SPersh?

You are a credit card commando.....

I bought my first premium after I had only a tier 5 tank. Who cares, enjoy the game.

EDIT: I remember one day some guy decided to check out my stats and tanks when my type 59 killed him, the guy made a HUGE deal that my only grinded tank was a tier 5.

He wasted his breathe and I couldn't care less.... its a game, enjoy it how you will.

Ignore those threads , silly elitest attitudes.

I had two tier 8 premiums from launch(M6A2E1 and Lowe). Never regreted having them made several grinds much easier. Wallet Warrior? Hell yeah and proud of it! :Smile_Default:

Edit: Also yes get the 8.8 Jagdtiger it is a blast and is the number two money maker in the game.

Last I checked, the whiners don't tell me how to spend my money and I seriously hope they don't for you.  The way I look at it, its your money, its how you want to play the game.  I'll admit, the T34 was my first Tier 8 tank, and I still commonly use that tank to grind credits.  I've used numerous premium tanks, and I view it as my money I spend is going to help support a FREE game.  Without the money being spent on gold/gifts, there would no be funding to keep the game alive.

You are only a credit card commando if you go into debt. Wallet Warriors pay now play now, Credit card commandos play now pay later.

Read about the Jgd 8.8 before you buy it. A tank destroyer is harder to use than a tank, and that Jagd is slow. Just be informed.

Some players have time.

Some players have money.

Skill is not defined by time or money.

i swear if WG will allow to to sell our premiums to other players i would let my LOWE go for 1 million credits , i hardly use that fatty after 1year + i have 200 battles in it .... i pretty much hate playing premium tanks - as long as you have a premium account you can make money even in tier 10 battles - so don't chase the 50$ tanks
chase the 10$ monthly premium -

i know some guys that spend  50$ on a premium tank but refuse to spend 2500 gold for monthly premium - make little sense to me

Well, you've gone 38-62 with your SuperPershing. Well bellow your w/l on the other tanks.

The reason people say you should get to tier 8 before buying a premium tank is that your progress through tiers 6-7-8 involve a fair bit of learning. Things get more complicated, having to deal with weak spots, armor angling, etc. You also are against different tanks, that you have seen or played in the lower tiers, so you don't know what to expect of them. Since you skipped that learning, you struggle with your tier8 and don't so as well.

I'm not condemning you for doing it, but this is why someone would refer to you as a wallet warrior.

I have money, a little bit time to play and I enjoy every minute of it. I pay to play: gold> 50,000; silver> 10,000,000; exp> 160,000 And proud of it!

If you have the money then I don't see why not. I've bought gold and premium time but I've never bought a premium tank but I've thought about it since they earn better credits.

Well... i felt like a noob when i bought the church when i was only owning a single tier 5 tank, but my friend bought it... totally worth it, excelled with it, it was the reason I play world of tanks today, but I held off buying a tier 8 premium till i saw a good tier 8 prem sale, which was the golden joystick, and bought is-6... best descicion in world of tanks i ever made... now i buy any premium that interests me... wallet warriors and credit card commandos are needed, though, as its not pay to win, but their needs to be people who fund the game...

No offense but, 5k battles to get a tier 7, or, as you stated, practically a tier 6?
