Tier 5 light tanks are meaningless

Now we have tier7 for light tanks in France and USA.
Other light tanks T-50-2, Vk2801, and Chappee are meaningless to be a tier 5 with tier 7 spec.
This is my opinion for light tanks. I hope that these country should add 2 more light tanks tree.
It could make sense that Vk2801, T-50-2, and chappee are tier 7.
I know Wargame.net need to research about more light tanks for tier 6 and 7 (or 3 tanks can be tier 7) but these tanks look strange that they are tier 5 with tier 7 spec
what do you think??

If they reduce the cost of the maintenance that would be an incentive...
However, I still believe that the tier 5 LTs are sufficient for their respective role. My T-50-2 is still a good active scout, it's the driver behind it that matters.

I think the current tier 5s should stay where they are and get rebalanced in other ways.

I have yet to see any of those tanks match the capabilties of the tier 5 elite scouts. The 13 90 is pritty Amazing but can not active scout like a tier 5. So no they are not obsolete at all. The new scouts have thier place and in some cases it is pritty cool at what they do.

They're already planning to expand the dedicated scout lines for all nations up to tier 8 if they can manage it

Probably this. I would play my 50-2 more if I made credits more often, but the way it is now I'm lucky to make credits even if I survive and do my job without taking any damage. They work fine in my book, but the repair cost is pretty prohibitive.

The tier 5 lights are still amazing at their role. I'd go as far as to say they're arguably better at scouting than their t7/8 counterparts. The 13 90 isn't amazingly maneuverable, and is often a worse active scouter than a competent 50-2 or 2801 driver. The 2801 or Chaffee also both make amazing passive scouters. Also, the t5 light tanks don't have an autoloader, which is better imo. A chaffee and a T71 will fire rounds at almost the exact same speed, except the Chaffee doesn't have a long reload per clip. The 2801 with HEAT in the 105 derp is also amazing, especially in a pack of 2-3.
The tier 5's certainly aren't outclassed. The only thing that would need to be buffed is their HP, and even without they're still capable of wonders.

My impression of the French lights above the ELC are that they're really light combat tanks anyway, rather than scouts.
Also, hands off my Chaffee, unless you wanna buff it. ;)

the tier 5 lights are fine. there scouts with a better gun theres nothing like being able to run behind a tier 10 and kill it

I think their fine, the VK2801 is one of my favorite tanks to play and can take out any amx13 90 or t71 one on one with it.

i think the t50-2, vk2801 and chaffee get screwed by being classed as end tier scout tanks,
they are tier 5 lights getting put into tier 10 battles that get shafted by repair costs that are totally out of line. they really dont belong in a tier 10 battle
anymore i would rather play my pz38na, t 50 or lepard tier 4 lights, they at least dont get screwed in the wallet by the end of the line tag
with the expansion of the american light line, the t21 tier 6 scout which is very similar to the chaffee in its abilities, but is much more profitable, what tank do you think players will be playing, i am no longer grinding the m5, but im grinding the m7 . im sick and tired of playing a game only to find i didnt cover my repair costs .

I don't think you know the purpose of the tier 5 scouts. The T-50-2 is strictly a scout. It has no other purpose but seeing where the enemy team is deploying they're forces. When it see's a gap it tries to light up the arty.
The Vk2801 on the other hand. It can actually hurt tanks while using the derp gun. It comes in from behind after everyone on the enemy team is distracted shooting the big guys. You can also use it to counter scout. The Vk2081 doesn't compare to the -2 in the fact that It's maneuverability isn't as great. It's like comparing apples to oranges.
Now we have the Chaffee. It has the greatest view range so you can sit far away with binocs and see everything. It can also circle tanks like there's no tomorrow. It can put out some damage. But It's to slow to go after the arty 2 minutes in.
So in comparison the VK and Chaffee have the same role. They both sit in bushes far away and then come in from behind.
The 50-2 is supposed to keep moving while scouting. Then find a gap and go after arty.

VK28, T-50-2, Chaffee = scouts
ELC, T21, T71 and the AMX series light tanks = light tanks, NOT SCOUTS

T-50-2 and T-50 are still the two best scouts in the game. The new Tier 7 Light Tanks aren't scouts. They're "Light Tanks".
They don't have the radio signal or view range the Tier 5 dedicated scouts have.
Nor do they have the acceleration the Tier 5 scouts have.
They're just Tier 7 Light Tanks.

Tell that to my vk that single handedly won the game last night (scout + patrol duty) and many others and i am certainly a shit player
Starting to love scouting/spotting - favs are vk and the 1390 cos they can pounce on opportunities
