This is more of a "which is best for me" with a little of "overall best".

I play mostly a front liner role, but enjoy flanking and sniping.  That being said, which are some of the best choices of each of those.  Thanks!

I voted for VK3601 only because I forgot Cromwell.

Cromwell is the best tier 6 medium.

It kind of depends on your play style. Me i'm awesome in my E2(also because I have equipment on it),but for you it might be different.

oh ya and the E2 used to have better armor lintel they weakened its turret!!!

E8 Sherman is like a faster, more agile standard sherman that sees alot higher tier enemies.

Jumbo Sherman has hilariously tough armor, but only on the front.

Cromwell is a pure flanker that can fly when equipped with the top engine but has no armor and cannot fight on the front lines.

VK3601 is probably the most universal medium.  It has very strong armor, decent speed, and a great selection of guns.

T-34-85 is like the regular T-34 with an 85mm gun.

VK3601 (H). With the top engine and the 88 L/56, it has some good get-up-and-go power and very good stopping power. With the L/70, it has decent pen and good ROF.

The 88 requires much aiming.

If you want to flank, try theEasy 8 with the 76. It's nearly a machine gun, great RoF, good pen, nice dmg.

VK3601... she's my most played tank... and as others have said, seems to be the best "all-arounder" available...

cromwell isn't a front-liner but can scout for the front line effectively on some maps.

also this has perfect long range and flanking capabilities.

The VK3601 is going to be changed into a heavy tank some time in the future, so I personally wouldn't put it on this list.

Other than that, I really liked the VK3001H and Cromwell!

P.S. the VK 3601 is being debated to remain medium or being re-classified to a heavy.

Cromwell is my choice. :)

Enjoy World of Tanks!

It's also the best scout interceptor in the game. There is nothing more fun then chasing down a T-50-2, tapping him and watching him explode from you "ramming" him because of the massive weight difference.

I like the M4A3E8 the best and I'm really enjoying the Cromwell.  Speed and agility are my primary interests in a tank.  For the average player I would recommend the VK3601H.  It's a fantastic all-around tank and I think it's a good fit for many playing styles.  The Cromwell & E8 require a very specific playstyle that I don't think most peope prefer.

Loved my T-34-85 way more than my VK3601 mainly because the 3601 gets tier 8s 70% of the time... lol
(132 pen isnt enough)

Took me a long time to stop treating my E8 as a brawler, but still enjoyed it and am enjoying it more, with a ballsed out crew and equipment (3rd skillset) record 9 kills couple weeks ago. Cromwell is turning out to be a blast if u like being sneakyish and flanking maneuvers ( like e8)

Cromwell can be hilarious fun. Sometimes the little woodpecker main gun can be rage enducing when you just really need to have more damage. But flying around the map at 60kph is fun, a lot of fun. To be able to circle pretty much anything is a great strength of this vehicle. As well as being able to fly from one flank to the other if needed. You are fast enough to capatalize on openings in lines to get to arty or behind enemy tanks. The Cromwell is between a medium and a scout playstyle. The VK3601H is between a medium and heavy play style.
They may both be mediums, but they have very different play styles.

Not to mention you will never do a flying jump suicide ram at 60kph in a VK.
