I think the wire rope can be a good addition to the game. You can pull up teammates that are stuck or use it as a tactical instrument. Such use might be useful in rocky maps such as El halluf... 1st u push your buddy up to the rocks, then he pulls you with the WIRE ROPE...

Pls vote if this is a good idea.

1st to say.

Never have I heard such a silly idea, just get behind the slower tank and push.

Isn't holiday break over?

Please call it a tow Cable....

And this has been suggested before. However not for a while.

"Search" must not be working again.

This, and myriad other console crap, has been suggested before, ad nauseum.

Tow cables are used in the Real World, but long after the battle has moved on.

It is an unnecessary risk to the crew while in combat and takes too long for the 15 minute time frame of the game.

No.

Most engines aren't strong enough for something like this :/

I'm going to take damage to save my teammate, which already has poor driving skill, and waste my time at the same time. Tanks are tanks. They're not supposed to tow each other. It's hard on the drivetrain.

No. This could be abused WAY too easily. I don't want some 5423134534 ton tank "Wire Roping" me in my 50-2 then jumping into the water, dragging me with him.
And I don't want a constant spam of "Hey! Noob234 wants to Wire Rope you! Do you accept? F1/F2" "Hey! Noob686 wants to Wire Rope you! Do you accept? F1/F2" "Hey! Noob163 wants to Wire Rope you! Do you accept? F1/F2" "Hey! Nooblet wants to Wire Rope you! Do you accept? F1/F2"

Fixed <3 also I agree, this mechanic would be abused to no end, like the ramming for compensation feature ;)

By doctrine, it requires a vehicle or two amounting to equal horsepower and weight vs the vehicle to be towed.

That's why there are specialized recovery vehicles.

And We don't support those for the game, either.

First off, tow cables would me a great idea to pull tracked allies out of harms way or if they got stuck in water or in a shallow hole(the hole on south coast) and are having trouble getting out. Secondly, there are tow cables on every tank in the game but only as decorations/aesthetics. Also, any tank smaller than your own can be towed. And as for spamming it would be just like the idiots in there already spamming map squares.

Ok, let's go with Gamer Reality ...

This is the single-best argument against tow cables.

No.

Bring back the red box for failing to use the search function.

Would be interesting only if said teammate Requested a Wire-Pull.
