Personally, when I started out playing World of Tanks, I could have really used a tank like the Locust. It's one of my favorites now-a-days, mostly due to the look of it (something about that oversized cog looking wheel) and the speed, but it'd have been the perfect gift to get me hooked early on.

Anyone else agree teh giftshop packages are complete garbage now and not worth the money?????????????

Do the math on them and you will see that most are not any kind of "deal."
In 90%+ of these it is better to just buy gold and use it to purchase the tank and any other consumables they are bundling.
