Not a Newcomer. Didn't know where to post this. But how come there is no section to discuss computer hardware. Am I missing something? I heard this game is CPU intensive. Also does it make use of multiple cores and how do different video cards stack up?

It's a single threaded application and a GT 210/HD 5450 can run this game @ 27fps 720p HD.

This game is more Memory intensive than CPU... have more than 3gb's and you should be fine, thats if you have a good GPU, CPU, Motherboard, Hard- nvm you get the point.

I have an Intel I5, 8gigs ram and a Nvidia GTX560. I have been playing the settings on max because I love the way it looks. Been noticing some lag in trees and when multiple tanks are in vision in sniper mode. Didn't want to turn foliage off because I really like the look. Not against upgrading my video, but it doesn't seem like that would help. Any ideas?

What resolution are you running at? The 560 isn't that powerful of a card, more-so comparable to the 650.

Tech questions could go in the off-topif section.
WoT is hard on the CPU for some reason, if you have a dedicated GPU then you don't have to worry about CPU RAM.
WoT also only supports single core but that is likely to change in a couple of months.

From my experience i havea I3 2100, it's a older generation but when i run WoT i usually get this message saying the CPU is under a big load.

I am building my own computer atm and it is all AMD products it will have a FX-4100 4.2GHZ CPU adn a AMD Radeon 7850 GPU.

Sorry about the resolution. 1920x1200.

I think ,its strange that hardware on a PC game would be "off topic", don't you think?

What card would you recommend? Was looking at Toms:

or less money:

If you spend $10 more, you can get the Vishera-based FX-4300 (95W 4-Core) and if you spend $20 more than the FX-4100, you can get a much more powerful, and the Vishera-based FX-6300 (95W 6-Core).

Personally, I'd go with the 7950/GTX 670. They'll have a longer upgrade span. However, the 7870 is amazingly powerful and if you're the kind of person that will upgrade when needed (generally the entire computer is due in 3.5 years), then go for the 7870. However, if you are playing GPU-intensive games, the 7870/GTX 660 Ti aren't that good beyond 1080p.

I have not found that the game is that hard on the CPU but I only base that on the fact that I have a Corsair H80i cooler on a balanced setting and the CPU does not get hot enuff for the fans to spin up to a very audible level which usually means for me that the CPU is nowhere near full load, but again I dont base that on anything scientific!  I have a Core i7 930 running at 4.2gig with 12GB of ram coupled with a 2GB Gigabyte HD7870 OC Windforce 3x @ 1225mhz which eats the game up on max everything VSync'd at 60fps @ 1080.

I would highly recommend the 7870 as a good mid ranged solution.

I have an H80 also. Have my I5 2400 clocked at 3.8 and its a locked chip. The fan does spin up on it though.

I have access to a HD6870. Will try that. My board also supports crossfire only. I know I can get the 6870 cheap if I like it. Was wondering if anyone's running crossfire with this game and would crossfire be advantageous?
