[Junk_Yard_Dawg]

Yeah so I was playing with a couple of my friends in my stock t-150, we got in a tier 8 match, I hung around my friend that was playing his arty. Didn't really do much to be honest, shot at a couple of tanks, no luck, ended up getting 1 shot by something, anyway; for about 2/3's of the match this dude was in global asking everyone to report me. Under the grounds of not contributing.

Match ends, and then he private messages me ( see below ) and basically goes on to explain that he is or is going to report me.

Question and concern is, wtf? I mean who is this dude to determine how I should play the game? And should I be concerned?



I'm not going to ruffle my feathers over what might be nothing, but if someone can get into trouble over not playing the game a certain way or not meeting some random persons expectations... I don't know...

Any suggestions?

My suggestion? dont name and shame but for what happened dont take it much to heart but try to stay within 2 tiers of your teammate the best is an exact match or 1 off

Naming and shaming is revealing someones name to "shame" them.

While you don't seem to be doing so, and I don't think this thread is a problem, you should edit or remove the picture to be safe.

submit that screen  to the support section at the top of the forum. If you did something in battle then nothing will come it. You actually have to be doing something to impede your team or harass them or stay idle at base. That player however should not be directly threatening you like that. Especially with their bad spelling/grammar.

1) Black out the other player's name.

2) I won't say you were being ENTIRELY useless (not without seeing the replay, which I'm far too lazy to watch anyways), but even at tier 8 the T-150 can probably manage something...I'd say it's kind of a shame that you didn't bring your 107mm to the fray Oh, you were stock.

3) The number of f**ks WG gives = 0

I would have done the same if you just stood the whole battle and didint do nothing, even though 99% reporting doesnt do anything.

The ban will come eventually  , not from the report but from your naming - shaming the guy.

Sure thing. No, I wasn't trying in anyway to bring shame to him, I was just trying to show proof. I have no idea how the report system works or how it's handled. As far as I know he could tell me one thing and report another.

tier 4 arty = tier 8 matchmaking.  Try not to make a noob platoon and screw over your team.  Don't platoon less than a tier 6 tank or tier 4 scout with tier 4 arty.

Some people expect you to take a game online as serious as your life then treat you like trash. Even in forums if you have a question, regardless of its knowledge they would point out that "how could you not know this??". Heck they are just people trying to be smart butts or better said jerks.  But take in the advice of honest and loyal players. Sometimes you do bad sometimes you do better and you might get great or worse from the experience my friend.

Well to this I'll give a *true* gamer response - video games are never, ever as important as real life, but you should still give it an honest effort.

IMO he has a right to if you are one of those types who cowers in a corner and does nothing, You can either play smart and roll with your teammates and get your shots in and die, or you can hide, get no shots and therefore no xp and still die because your team didn't get your support... Food for thought

I think when I stated that " I didn't do much" I might have misspoken; as I typical play a more front line approach in this case I hung back and attempted to snipe. Mind you there was around 3-4 other players doing the same exact thing. I probably took about 7-8 shots at maybe 2-3 different targets and did zero damage, and died shortly there after. When I take all those things into consideration I don't feel like "I did much".

The real point of the post wasn't to focus on my play style for this map or any other, I was merely expressing my concern for how a random player may deem another player as being "none contribution" and feel it somehow justifies reporting said player, and may result in some sort of disciplinary action.

Maybe the intro story wasn't needed and I would have been better off omitting it, but I prefer to be forthright when I talk about something that could possibly be taken as an infraction or whatnot.
