Plus, I think WOT is done with clone tanks ( rightfully so).

There's nothing stopping players from climbing the German tree and sticking  their flag on  a Tiger.

I believe I found the culprit behind the tier 8 fictional premium:

It was the Koreans all along.

Is Poland poised to get yet another FT-17 clone? TKS or GTFO! No wonder new players can't adapt to anything in this s***Lord game.

I've come to the conclusion (again) that the Fiat 2000 was the best choice for tier 1.

Fiat 3000- POS clone

Fiat 3000 tippo 2- paper

CA 5 ton- not bad, but just a prototype

CV 33/35 cc 20mm- good but overshadowed by the TKS.

Could save it at tier 2.

Fiat 2000- Deployed to Carso and Libya, nothing like it in the game. Italy's first tank. Served until 1934. It's the best choice IMO.

Jeeez guys, don't all of you go running after her with your pitchforks and torches at once. It's not like it isn't the 5th time she's created fictional b******* content for this game. So what if the evidence is circumstantial, since when has that ever stopped a mob of angry villagers?

I don't know.  You tell me if that looks like an FT-17 clone.

I must've been looking at a fan based branch.

I'd give you a +1 but I've used them all up on the Ran posts.

Am I right in thinking that's the insignia of the 2nd Armoured Division on that cruiser tank?

If so those Italian gentlemen have every right to look pleased with themselves as the Italian forces apparently took the surrender!

I suppose that's Mechili. Lol, I use to think it was just a fort.

True story, in the war diaries there's a British Captain that gets court martialed because he refuses to give up his captured M.13.

Don't fret Captain pastaboo, I know exactly how you feel.

Ok, so maybe I exaggerated a bit, there is no mention of a court martial. But if you want to read more on British Captain Pastaboo's love affair with the M13 see warlinks war diaries of the 6th rtr on 4/4/41.

Here's the name of our mysterious wiki editor who writes fiction for the game then locks the historical info category:

User:XXN:na

Here's a more accurate development history based on what I know:

Mediums

P43bis 1943 blueprint

Giacomini tank patent 1956 no info, needs measurements

OTO Centauro 1958-68 autoloader

P26/40 190hp engine 1960s ceremonial

Progetto M40 drawing, not blueprint 1965

OTO KPZ-70 1974 autoloader

OF-40 wooden mock-up 1975 magazine

OF-40 proto 1979 article

OTO MBT 1980 Magazine

Others

Palmaria spg 1975 wooden mock-up

OTOmatic prototype 1983 magazine

Misc:

-90/70 was a paper gun and 700hp tank engines came in licensed and unlicensed versions.

-It was my understanding the 90/74 was a cold war gun.

- not gonna really cover lights but the C-13 models can be traced back to the 70s.

Whew, it's a lot of hard work going back and +1ing all the excellent Ran posts...but well worth it.
