Probably a really obvious question, but wiki and the forums dont seem to show where exactly the indicator is. Could someone take a screenshot and highlight it for me? (Not using any mods)

It's the upside down triangle I think, also the penetration indicator isn't that good.

Well your Commander doesn't shout it when you pen something or anything.

But the Triangle in the center of the screen changes color according to enemy armor.

Green = Almost auto Pen
Yellow = Ehh... Not worth the shot
Red = Auto bounce
Dark Red = Lol that's not a tank

If you are talking about what I think you are talking about.  When you put your crosshair on target, it will turn green for penitration.
Think it turns orange for possible penitration.

when its green, it only counts the base armour not the slope

Listen to her moaning, pitch and volume.  Her hip movements are good indicator too.
