I wish I could say I liked this tank. So far I kind of hate it. Especially since I rarely seem to get a t8 match with it.

Driver constantly dies. Frontal hits cause fires/fuel tank damage. My gunner is in constant peril too.

Its good at taking hits from people who don't know how to shoot, but smart people cut through it. Hope I start enjoying it more since I'm going to grind the 150k to the WZ-111, lol.

The pike on this thing still confounds many players it seems. I don't have the tough turret yet but as long as they keep shooting me in the hull I don't care I guess!

After spending the weekend cuddling with my 110, I'm starting to like it more.

It's passable with the upgraded 122 + HEAT, but it's actually enjoyable with the 100. I also realized that I was playing the thing wrong from the start, as I have very little experience with tanks of this kind.

I was trying to play in the short to medium range. I was neither close enough to facehug and make people bounce off the turret/pike, nor far enough way for their shot to deviate and hit poorly. Since realizing this, things have gotten a lot better. I'm current sitting at 49 games, 65% WR and ~1700DPG, so a bit low in that respect. I expect to even out around ~58% WR by the time I hit 100 games.

Some highlights from my 49 games so far; facehugged an IS-4 and won (yes, he was bad). Facehugged several M103s and won. Went 2v1 versus an M103 and a T26 and came out on top thanks to wiggling and fachugging. Bullied an IS6 + 2x T29s while using an ally's wreck to play peekaboom with, and came out on top. I scrapped with an E4 and got a lucky turret bounce that enabled me to get a couple of APCR shots in that brought him down. IS-3's feel like an even match in a close quarters fights if I do the dance right.

The RoF of the 100mm is a boon for corner fighting as it lets you blast the front sprocket off repeatedly for damage if they don't have their repair skills up to snuff. My crew is currently 97% 6th Sense + Repairs, using a Rammer + Vents and an empty slot (I'm super po). The next 125k experience should be pretty enjoyable.

Figured I'd post a replay of what I thought was a good example of how to bully people in the 110. Keep in mind I've not played an IS-3, so this type of action is all shiny and new to me ^_^

Amusingly enough, I was showing my friend WoT during this game and explaining mechanics to him as we fought on the south bend. Then I said "Time to go!" and charged out, and he had this horrified look on his face and said "What are you doing!"

I'm enjoying the 110 wish it got the BL9 tho, but the 100 mm seem to be ok if you aim at week spots

The angles on its front are steep enough up close that you can facehug some burly tanks. In desperate moments I've hugged a Maus, 103, E5, and had them bounce just enough rounds off my turret that I lived long enough for the team to show up and save me. Just wiggle that turret while you're in their face. It's really good at bullying its tier and lower in fights where the enemy can't afford to go around far enough to hit your sides.

Few more replays;

#1: Bullying tier 9's in a tier 8 on Cliff. Facehug an M103, and prevail!

The downside so far to the ridiculous durability of the tank when it's head on is that it makes people switch to gold

How is there any debate about how good this tank is? While my win rate is lower than my IS-3 or Tiger 2 that has more to do with herp derp teams than anything else averaging over 800 exp a battle and almost 1900 damage per battle 84% accuracy. This tank really should replace IS-3s to some degree in champions.

Problem is that IS-3 has alpha advantage; which means it takes less number of IS-3 to focusfire and kill off a 110 instantly that it does other way around.
And IS-3 has trollish side armour that can eat even BL-10(100mm's APCR is also not going through) at some angle; it really helps when engaging multiple targets are you cannot point the tank at every enemy(unless they sit in a straight line towards you, in which case you do not need much to win...), there will be troll bounces with the IS-3 side armour while 110 is taller and has no spaced armour with highly angled 90mm side under it.

IS-3 also has stronger engine so hillclimbing(maps are not always flat, as far as I know) advantage is there.

Imo, 110 is definitely better than IS-3 in pubs; but not quite as obvious in TC.

If 110 was going to replace IS-3; it would have happened in Chinese server many moons ago; but as far as I have heard, it has not happened.
