Havn't watched due to being on work PC but;

I've found that playing it as a conservative TD for the early game.
A little more aggressively in the middle game, more in line with an Autoloader Light.
Super aggressively in the end game when the big damage has been done already.

The way I see it, the longer you stay in the game and the more HP you can conserve the more powerful/useful you can be towards the end of the game. As you can generally one shot extremely wounded/crippled enemies and then motor on over to another one. The problems you want to avoid at the start of the game is that everyone is 100% and your not going to do very much against those kinds of enemies in the first place, so just avoid "scouting" and hang back for a little while. Letting other scouts spot for you. Take a potshot here and there but generally stick to staying alive until it's your moment to pop out of nowhere and shoot someone in the engine compartment or face hug them >:D

Try looking how other people play it well and go from there.

Hmm the ELC AMX!!! i LOVE this tank i think this is the best tank in WoT. In all honestly the ELC is more of a late game tank. At the start of the match i find a good spot and i poke at tanks with my gun using ap if im high or mid or HE if im dead last bottom. that 90mm does nice damage but has a slow reload even with rammer. Also i hunt down some scouts but make sure you don't get too close because of the slow reload you can actually lose the fight. Later i flank tanks and shoot them at their sides or back. I almost never engage at the front. This usually makes me get hit and take damage and most likely get my engine blown. Also broken tracks is the elc worst nightmare coming true. Rushing is not really good. Sure you can get around some tanks and shoot at one but most likely he has buddies around and your dead. Use its speed and low profile to move quickly and hide behind bushes.

Also one time i deflected a KV 1 85mm ap shot on my front armor. Felt pretty good about my self.

My best advice:
Stay away from my Grille!
we stink, Hummels and M41s taste better ...

Your tank is basically a TD with mobility and camoflague steroid powers. Take positions and remember to reposition so it will be harder for enemies to find you. Use it like a ninja hide in cloak hit and run play style.

Yes, it's a tank destroyer being called a light.  The gun is pretty boss for tier V.  Use your camo and speed to change position on the regular, get a shot or two off and move to the next spot.

Never worked as a TD for me, just use it as active scout and scout hound.

Whatever you do, don't try to shoot on the move, especially with the 90mm.

Actually, I've heard expienced ELC drivers say they do most of their shooting on the move. They dive bomb the enemy at top speed in a sort of drive-by-shooting kind of style. Probably works nicely late-game on heavily damaged enemies you can one-shot. The idea is that you drive past the wounded enemy at top speed and only shoot when you are so close that you can't miss - even with the bad aim.

Also, I've seen videos of these things aiming. Even when you're sitting still that's a dangerously long aim time, and even fully aimed, the accuracy isn't good. Stopping every time you want to shoot an ELC is probably a death wish - since a stationary ELC is usually a dead ELC.

It really depends on the situation. If you KNOW you aren't going to get blasted(your not spotted) and have a clear shot at a tank you can pen and hit, defiantly stop and take a good shot at it. You can also stop late game on lone enemies that are big (heavy tanks or TDS) and take a shot into their backs at near pointblank ranges, with good maneuvering you can use your small size to stay below their gun and either distract them for your team, or reload and use your maneuvering and imagination to get a shot off without getting hit. I've taken on "big game targets" with little to no health and take them down from full to zero using close range tactics to kill them. So almost every TD you meet is an easy kill when it comes to 1v1.

Use surprise as your biggest advantage, and get as close to an enemy as fast as possible and get out in a heartbeat or use your size and maneuverability to deny them a shot at your tank. The size of the tank in close ranges is easily the most OP part of the tank, it enables you to take on almost ANY large tank and get away alive with proper maneuvering.

Also a note against arty is, you can outrun ALL of them. Along with your size, the odds of them hitting you the move is nearly zero, so don't play to an arties advantage. So against strong TD arties like grilles and hummels, just drive away and bait their shots, or flank them as FAST as possible using terrain as your advantage(small hills added by 8.0 maps offer near perfect cover!) to get pointblank and get shots off that way(you have better arc so side scrapping next to arties works unless they have rear mounted turrets).

You absolutely need to learn to think in lines of sight. I have a replay here where I reset the cap and with the minute of time I bought I managed to loop around and get very close to cap by using flat bushes to avoid detection and get a solid shot on the guy to win the game. Even if he hadn't still been looking the wrong way I would have had him because he didn't see me coming. The tank is so low to the ground most bushes will cover you.

This is a solid replay throughout except I have some careless shots, but the part I'm talking about is the end. Always be a sneaky bastard. This is with only about 35% camo training on the crew. Also note how I managed to shoot down from the hill which means the KV-1S has to hit my extremely flat turret with a 0.46 accuracy gun. A calculated risk and it worked.
