I was wondering. Does a damaged ammo rack have a higher chance of exploding than a non-damaged one when hit? Also, since tanks have multiple ammo racks, do I have to hit the same one again to set the tank off, or can I hit any ammo rack and have and cause the damaged one to explode? (if in fact a damaged on blows up easier).

As far as I know, an ammo rack has static HP, so one you've already hit has a higher chance of detonating due to having lower HP on the second hit.
Not sure if ammo racks are connected.

Always try the wiki first. It is a truly fantastic resource, and I believe is now probably 99% reliable (as opposed to the used-to-be-maybe-50% reliable). This may explain a bit of this for you:

Ah cool. But are the ammo racks linked? Or does all the ammo racks on the tank share 1 HP pool?

Multiple crew (IE, two loaders) are separate entities and can get killed separately, giving increasing penalties to performance.
Multiple modules (IE, two ammoracks) are single entities and can not get killed separately, making it impossible to damage one ammorack and then the other for increased performance penalty.

I think they share one HP pool. I'm not absolutely certain on it but I recall reading that they do.

based on my limited knowledge of wot
ammo rack have its own HP,
if the damage receive exceed the hp of the ammo rack = it will explode
if not = registered as damage = slow reloading
damage ammo rack = easier to explode since its hp is less.

I believe if one ammo rack is damaged, it increases the risk of it exploding. You have to hit the same ammo rack to blow it up I think.

That is how it works.

Lert changed his "Council of Certified Forum Trolls" sig picture!
This is useful in explaining why my AT-15A never gets blown up when racked. Happens quite a lot (and kills my RoF...)
