I have just started on one tier 5 tank (T1 Heavy). Although this in some ways is redundant....I'm going to work on all of them but I was curious, and was also very determined to find the best one to shoot for. Opinions, anyone?

Also, which is the better match, T1 Heavy vs KV-1. Thanks in advance for any non-offensive replies to this post.

T1HT can ram the KV-1

KV-1 is better in angling armor, and can cause more alpha strike.

I'd say there isn't a best. Some my favorites have been the church I, M4, M7, M24 and BDR. Hated the KV-1 with all my heart... And the AMX 13f3 is lots of fun too

The T1 is like a big medium. Kv-1 edges it out in heavy tank duties, but is worse in everything else.

It used to be the PzIV with the Vader turret and the long 7.5. Then they took it out.  :Smile_sad:

kv-1 is more noob friendly but i prefer the t1 because it has faster, more pen, more frontal armor, more gun dep, better rate of fire, better rammer
though the m 4 using gold rounds on derp prob the best
light tank t 50 2 beats all
spg more of a personal choice i like the hummels cause it fast and can protect itself
prem churchill best prem

Whats the best use of the Sherman? I know its agile... would't be a decent scout??

I'd say the best route for me right now is the KV-1, especially since it is seemingly closer on xp from others.

Also, the grinding of the french tanks seem to be faster/easier. Does this hold true???

Sherman ain't a scout. It is fat. You can try to use normal cannon on it, but it is quite bad on it. 105mm howitzer requires HEAT shells to be competitive nowdays, so it will sucks credits out. Same goes for current PzIV.

If only M5 Stuart would not have scout matchmaker I would suggest M7 Medium, as due to combination of mobility and rate of fire it is easily competitive with standard AP shells.

Avoid French tanks, it is hardest tech tree to use correctly.

From heavy tanks KV-1 is for sure easiest to use for newcomer, T1 is quite harsh to learn and BDR tends to be hardest to use properly ( currently most powerful gun on tier 5 ).

Additionally KV-1 leads to bunch of good and easy to use machines. KV-1S is quite a monster, IS is easiest tier 7 to use and it wields good cannon. IS-3 can compete for title of best tier 8.

So as you are newcomer, I strongly suggest KV - IS line.

I have done well in the T49, ELC, and Churchill 1.

I did okay in the Sherman. I'm not much of a brawler, so it really isn't my style.

The Crusader... I want the 2:06:55 I spent in that tank back. The Cromwell may be nice, but it sure as hell isn't worth spending another second in the Crusader; there is no way I will drive it another 4 hours. I'm only about a third of the way to the Crommie. I think I will trade it is for a venereal disease as burning and/or warts would be preferable to that tank.
