Hi All,

Does anyone know how ramming damage is calculated?

It seems that my tank gets touched and it blows up.

It would seem that ramming should happen when a tank reaches a certain speed range, say 2+ mph/Meters a min.

and not just touch the other tank.

Does anyone know the calculation?

the heavier you are the more ram damage you will do (dependant on speed also)

I rammed an E50 while in my Batchat earlier this week. I was going full speed, he was near full speed. He took about 400 damage, I took a little over 800. I'm going with weight-indicative.

more speed and mass and armor = more dmg the hellcat movign at 72 might do alittel dmg to a maus but the muas weighing 200 ton win kill it just by shear weight and armor

In my recollection, the exactly details of the ramming formula have not been fully released, and will not be released. Source? SilentShalker's Russian Developer Q&A thread found at the EU forum, which in this case quotes the developers Serb & Storm.

Some pre-map loading tip says it's speed, weight and armor in whatever formula they use. Side or rear ramming will always hurt that dude more than your front.
