ive never heard of the ausf. "GH" but for this ill assume its a typo of ausf. G which is what you see with an elite pz4 with the spaced armor and additional armor in the front. it was probably the most common type of pz4 in 1944-45

ausf J was, it was produced in much higher numbers, although it was a downgrade as it was streamlined for production.

OP, are you talking about the german tier 6 prem tank?

Never heard of the "GH" - I agree that it may have been a typo where you saw it.

Could you be thinking about the Pz IV equipped with the hydraulic transmission and steering - the Beetle-butt model?

In the game files, there's four Panzer IVs

G01_Pz_IV_AusfG
G70_PzIV_Hydro
G77_PzIV_Schmalturm
G79_Pz_IV_AusfGH

The middle two are obvious. G01 is the original Panzer IV with Schmalturm and 75mm L/70, this data was disabled going into v8.0. G79 is the replacement Panzer IV that is our current tier 5 medium

I just picked up the tier V tank. I only show the G01>Pz_IV_AusfG in my res/vehicles/vehicles/german folder. G67 is the highest numbered tank skin in that folder.

I've been looking for a skin for this tank, but I can't seem to get anything to work.

What does your german_vehicles.pkg folder look like?

It refers to the upgraded turret, which is the Turm Ausf. Н. The stock turret is the Turm Ausf. G. So basically, a Pz IV that uses either the Ausf. G or Ausf. Н turret, hence Pz IV GH

Ah, that's a relic vehicles folder that you might have used for modding before "res_mods" was added. It should have no impact on your client

I'm referring to the file C:\Games\World_of_Tanks\res\packages\vehicles_german.pkg which is opened with WinRAR or 7Zip. The game draws from data in these .pkg files, so you model your mod paths off of what's found in here

While we're talking about this buggy skin, do you have a link so I may see which one you're trying to use?

OK, I found and opened up the vehicles_german.pkg.  That looks OK and includes all the variations I'd expect including the  G79_Pz_IV_AusfGH folder.  I already had added that file folder into my C:\Games\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.8.3\vehicles\german folder.  But still no luck.

I tried a couple of skins from my usual source:

http://mirtankov.net.../pzkpfw-iv.html

Specifically, this sandpaper design.
http://mirtankov.net...-iv-ausf-g.html

The tank in WOT shows additional turret armor though.  Wondering if that's why it won't work, or how will that be handled by a skin that doesn't include it?

I've tried renaming the PzIV_AusfG files to PzIV_AusfGH but it appears the data simply doesn't work. Guess the skin is just outdated, many Panzer IV skins I see being hosted work with similar results(i.e.: They don't. which is frustrating because Torsys Hull Plate Schurzen skin is one of these). Those skins showing the Panzer IV with the Schmalturm definitely don't work because G79 does not host Schmalturm data

Thanks for checking.  I've modded my own skins before with photoshop, I'll try that again and see if I can create a basic camo skin.

Drongo Lab apparently has a couple of skins, including a desert yellow color, for the G79 Pz4

Some really nice skins.  Drongo is not letting me download from there though.  I get an ominous pop up in Russian about a download manager when I try and download a file.  Is it safe to download the iLivid download manager?
