I installed a couple of mods and now some of the text displays in the game are garbage, specifically the names of British tanks.  The game summary screen that shows shots fired, damage, etc... displays garbage and my Service Record is blank.   I tried uninstalling WoT so I can do a fresh install and that doesn't even work!

Any suggestions?

Did you remove the mods from the mods folder?

I'm assuming you use Win. 7 : Go to Start, Computer. Then go to here: C:\\Games\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\8.3 look for your mod(s) and either remove them and move them to the desktop (highlight and move all of them) or move them 1 by 1 to by the desktop, delete those mods or keep them. If my tip doesn't work try sending a ticket to Support : http://support.worldoftanks.com

Also, are you sure you installed a mod that is 8.3 compatible?

I'm pretty sure the mod pack I installed was 8.3.  I also installed a reticle mod (first) and an xvm mod (second) that I'm not sure about.  The reticle worked fine and the xvm didn't.  The one that caused all the problems was the roughneck mod.  Also, I used the program that lets you drag-and-drop mods.  I lookd for the mods in the WoT file but didn't see them earlier.  I will look again now that I know for sure they should be there.

Okay, I was in the right place before I posted my initial question here but I wasn't sure that deleting something from the mod file wouldn't delete something I needed to play.  After reading your responses I went back and noted that the mod files for previous versions of WoT were empty while 8.3 had stuff in it so I deleted it and all is good!

Thanks!
