[Captain_Judo]

This month's challenge is loosely modeled after the Battle of Kasserine Pass.

Registration

A news update will be published on the community portal once the tournament page is live and registration is available.

• Registration begins: February 13, 2013
  
• Registration ends: February 20, 2013 at 4PM PST

Tier & Point Limits

Teams may deploy no more than 5 members in each match. A team must field a selection of tanks based on the below tier limits. Teams are also limited to a maximum total of 17 tier points.

• Heavy tank - n/a
  
• Medium tank - 3
  
• Tank Destroyer - 3
  
• Light tank - 3
  
• SPG - 2
  
• Each team is allowed one M3 Lee (Tier IV) and one Panzer III (Tier IV)
  
• No duplicate tanks allowed

Sample Line-up

• Panzer III (Each team is allowed one M3 Lee and one Panzer III)
  
• M3 Lee (Each team is allowed one M3 Lee and one Panzer III)
  
• T-15 (Tier III light)
  
• M2 Medium (Tier III medium)
  
• BS (Tier II spg)

*The above roster has no duplicate tanks and all tanks do not exceed their tier limit with exception to the allotted M3 Lee and Panzer III.


Victory Conditions

The winner of each round will be determined as the first to 3 victories.

Each battle will last 10 minutes max.

The encounter battle mode will be used for this tournament.


Schedule

The full schedule will be provided at the close of registration, once the final team count has been determined. Rounds will begin at 6PM PST (9PM EST) each scheduled day.

• Round 2: February 23rd
  
• Round 3: February 25th
  
• Round 4: February 27th
  
• Round 5: March 1st
  
• Full schedule to be announced at the close of registration

Prizes

The following prizes will be provided to each member of the respective team, including reserves.

• First place: 8,000 gold
  
• Second place: 5,000 gold
  
• Third place: 2,500 gold
  
• Fourth place: 1,500 gold
  
• Fifth Place:  750 gold
  
• Sixth Place:  750 gold
  
• Seventh Place:  750 gold
  
• Eighth Place:  750 gold

If the first place team is able to win the Challenge without losing a single battle, each member will receive an additional 2,000 gold.


Maps

There will only be one map used during the Kasserine Pass Challenge. The map played on for the Challenge will be Sand River.

There is no reserve player limit. Therefore, I must recruit copious amounts of players regards of whether they participate or not. Try to pinch us on gold wg? Be prepared to pay out to 200+ players on each team.

Others have noticed too, I see. The article on worldoftanks.com is almost an exact copy of the Skirmish VIII info, not the same as the thread on the forums here. I've gotta say, I was pretty confused for a minute.

Glad to know we aren't having duplicate tournaments :P

I'm confused.  Website says 60 max tier points and that 5 + 5 = 15... post above is completely different.  Anyway we can get the post on the website to reflect the actual requirements?

Maybe I'm just being a little picky or what not but why are we having a tier 3(besides 2 tanks) challenge right after CW's on the NA map has been that for the last week? Sorry for complaining lolz just figured there could be something else better to do, and one last thing only 8k to top place? Might as well call this a skirmish then.

I call this feedback- not complaining  
I hear what you're saying. But consider the tier of the tournaments that are currently open (AP2, Classic 2, Skirmish 8) and open registration for our pro-level "world of tanks championship series". All things considered, I think there's currently something available for everyone's interest.

Until now, we've treated eSports as a single community. We're gradually transcending to a point where our competitive player base will have to prioritize which tournament best fits their needs.

Haha no I'm fine with everything just the dudes that run with me on VS are sad to see a low tier challenge. Cause they like the multi tournies going on so there is always something to do at all tiers. Like we just got knocked out of AP2, I'm doing Classic on another team, Got VS going in Skirmish 8, and maybe running in this Challenge so it's not to hard to do all of them just manage your time and rosters :P

Or the top teams could just eat, sleep, breath tanks and continue to dominate.
