Did they note in the guide "Currently power creep in this game has rendered this tank moot."?

Didn't watch the video, but I'd like to take an educated guess what the WG "experts" advise to select for this tank.

Recommended crew skills by WG "experts":
First: Camouflage
Second: Firefighting
Third: Stuff that extends view range and increases accuracy

Recommended equipment by WG "experts":
Camouflage Net
CO2 tanks
Wet ammo rack

Excellent video, and I especially like the new narrator as he is much easier for me to understand.  I also like how specific places on various maps show ideal places to play this tank.  The video even mentioned maps that are unfavorable for it.

Unfortunately for the Maus, E100, and other armored behemoths, the game play and style has passed them by.  The addition of T10 mediums and tank destroyers, as well as all of the new guns with their alpha damage and high pen, have made taking down a Maus an objective which can be accomplished by any number of tanks on your team.  Plus, the limited situations that this T10 heavy can be used on means that instead of it being a capitol asset, it just a chump waiting to get its teeth kicked in.

I stopped playing my IS-7 because the new mediums could rush you and ammo rack you, or at least reduce to you a limping tank unable to lead an assault.  My IS-4 had too many holes to keep hidden, and it too was mothballed.  Perhaps one day I will bite the bullet on the 6.5 million credits (that's A LOT of premium ammo) need for the E100, but I would have to be pretty bored.  Even spending all the XP to get a Maus, which is more usable that the E100, seems like a waste.  I really wish WG would rethink the T10 tanks.

This is an excellent how to on the Maus, from WoT Armory;

Watched the video, in a nutshell, "useless in the maps that are far more often to spawn".

They recomended sixth sense for maus, like he won't know when he is spotted, like he hide behind bushes

They didn't say anything about using a dead Maus to block a bridge.

Interesting that even their own video is basically a "Good luck using this tank on most maps, you're slow, inaccurate, have low pen and damage - but your armour's quite good if criteria X, Y and Z fall into place perfectly."

My Maus is retired, hasn't been out in a long time, and it's a shame - at 8.0 I loved it. Since the introduction of all the fast pen meds with prem rounds there's no point using it - it's simply a shell magnet and even Tier 8's pen the turret now.

to bad the time of the german super heavy has passed   :Smile_sad: , the tier 10 mediums and TDs have made these tanks obsolete, my E100 is mothballed, and i only pull my FV215b out when my friends want to do the dailys in there tier 9s.

Good video, well done. Kinda feel bad for the last narrator that got the boot because too many people bitched about him, but the new narrator is clear to understand. I don't know why they recommend a vert stab and an enhanced gun laying drive, the aiming time isn't that horrific. Vents or a spall liner would probably be better than the vert stab in my opinion, Maus isn't exactly for firing on the move to begin with. My opinion though, probably have tons of people tell me I'm wrong and a noob.

wow,
I want to elite all of the German tech tree, Currently I am at the Panther 2 (I decided to go mediums first).

I was looking forward to the day when I would use the maus but after watching that video....I'm not so excited  :Smile_sceptic:

It seems the only thing that tank is good for is a meat shield....
