I do NOT want to hear some 6 year olds squeaking voice on top of his horribad mic.

First things first, pass English class. I do agree that there should be voice chat in random battles

Hell no dude. Its annoying enough people typing what I should do in the chat when they dont know what the hell they are doing. I dont need someone screaming orders into my ear telling me what to do.

Platoon chat is fine. When I want to be abused by idiots I can call up either of my ex-wives.

On paper, this would seem to be a good idea. At the beginning of the match you can mute the 6 y/o's with the "horribad" mics so you don't have to put up with their screams/ whines. Unfortunately, this is not really applicable for two reasons: The mic spammers and the tough situations.
The mic spammers are an issue because they may not begin spamming at the beginning of the match, and it would be difficult to mute them past the first minute of a game.
When in a tough situation, any distraction can be deadly, and I'm sure many noobs out there who think they know how to play would be all over telling you what to do.
If WG decides to do this, which most players would not like, they would need a new hotkey for a voice chat mute. Probably z or perhaps v, but they would still be awkward to use in combat.
This would be great, but how many people in a random battle want to coordinate? That is after all, what a Tank Company is for.

IMO it is a bad idea. There will be 15 mics with 5 kids talking at the same time, while 5 other mics have terrible sensitivity settings, and then 4 mics will be people raging at each other. The 1 mic left will be yours which you wont need because you will stop playing WOT after your first game with the new pub chat

As long as the chat isnt filled with kids that talk nonstop and people with nontuned mics I wouldn't have much of a problem with it...but in the overall aspect it just wouldn't do it.

What to listen orders, or give orders? go play TC man, you can talk all you want there.
