question for the more computer savy. Started playing tonight and my ping was 800-999. Thats something new for me. I reset my router but the problem persisted. I then ping my computer and my ip and it showed everything normal but the high ping persisted in the game. I asked other players if they were having problems and they said their ping was normal. Any ideas to what is going on here?

your problem is that there is 39,000 people on right now, and WGNA still isnt addressing the issue of server overload

Is your ping really high in other multi-player games?

Maybe purchasing a better server???? Do they run the Test Server and the Login server and Game server all on the same server...does anyone know?

Test server isn't the same as na game server as eu sea ru na players are all tossed into the same server pop

Just think of the little countrys that NA have to support that have ISP's that barely can run a checker game much less handle all the packets a MMO game needs to tranfer lol... and they play in the 6 and 7 hundered ping range that is not a good way to play the game. I may add it's know fault of the player if they can't get good ISP's but WG should put a limit on the ping count to enter the game.....CHEERS

AND same crap this morning. 999 latency. Logged into WoW and have under 100 ms ping so it's not on my end. Kind of game breaking.

It's a server-sided issue. Nothing you can do and Wargaming wants to do about it. (I've witnessed on a reliable Telekom line at 30k+ players, too. Evading this with various close VPN servers didn't help, so it's definately server-sided)

pings now down to 400 so its at least playable. glass is half full.
