Unable to set push to talk key

I removed my push to talk key settings some time ago since I do not use the in game chat. When my clans main and backup team speak servers went down during a clan wars battle at the same time we were forced to use the in-game chat. I discovered that no matter what button I try to set it as, it does not accept it. It says "key assigned" but nothing appears in the box, and the apply button stays greyed out. I would like to use mouse button 4, but as the picture shows it says "key assigned" but then nothing happens. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

Click it and press 'Q'. the default key. And, if it won't work, just 'Set to Default' and then try to change it.

Well, If he can only let us know what is he planning on setting it to. Alt never works, and that is what I use for my TS3 Push-to-talk.
I did, mouse button 4.

I have tried a whole variety of keys tho ranging from left control key to regular letters, and they all do the same thing. That box appears saying "key assigned" but nothing shows in the key box and the apply button stays greyed out.

Tried resetting it to default and it goes back to Q, but still will not let me change it to mouse button 4. I'm guessing the extra mouse buttons are not support by the game client?

Yea, probably. try something else, like, you know, you can replace reload with something else, like 'E' and use 'Q' for push-to-talk.

yep- right- can only use Q for push to talk. BUT>>> if you can find an application that will background wot where you verbally say Q to electronically hold the Q button then there is hope. You would just say "HOLD Q" then speak Then Say "Release Q" when done(kinda cheesy tho to even consider doin that. GRRR at wot-bad wot-no track grease for them!!) I'm considering downloading or contacting that "DRAGON" software they advertise on T.V. that lets you 'speak type' in lets say, ummn...things like--Messenger,or --Windows live mail--- or paint etc etc. OHHH crapola just had an epiphany- windows lets you train voice command and speech recognition-is there a way to have windows recognize "Q" in the background when playing wot??? hmmmn....

For some reason the game client will not allow you to use your mouse as your talk button which is kind of a pain in the backside for alot of players including myself its just something you,ll have to get used too or like me just dont use the ingame talk feature there are plenty of other apps such as skype
