Personally, I think the landing clans should be able to dictate the time of the landing. Want to keep your land? Set the alarm clock if it's off hours. Just my .02 cents.

Hate to burst your bubble guys but it is never going to happen. Oceanic players such as myself had been campaigning for CW's on the NA server since 2011.

This is the main reason why most of the Oceanic community is now on the SEA server. Even there the CW's are not perfect but it is the only hope anybody has to play in the Oceanic prime time.

At the moment the ping isn't as good as normal because the main undersea cable between Singapore and Aust has been broken and due to road block put in by the Indonesia Govt there is no ETA to it being fixed.

As to the population numbers in the Oceanic night time it ranges between 9-12k population which is not all that much different to what you get on the NA server at the same time.

Its a bit of a shame a few more people aren't a bit more open minded about the SEA server as this is the only server Oceanic players will get any support and the more Oceanic players on that server the more say Oceanic players will have.

But you guys just worry about playing your pub games over there......

i agree to stemas i have been in 7 clans on the na server and all the clan wars and event have happened at 1 in the morning for me and i have just about lost my job trying to keep up with them i am really mad about this subject and i would really like to see a change and a little more help for the aus/nz players. In ww2 we were fighting along side the usa and they loved us for our fight pride and dam good strength so were is that love for us now were is our help and our chance to show the WOT world aus/nz is still a great power and strenght and not to be forgotten

Everybody has differing opinion thats fine but the fact remains WG decided that the only CW available in Oceanic prime time is on the SEA server. They also made a decision to support the Oceanic region from the SEA server.

If CW at night is important to you then the only option you have is the SEA server. If you want to just run pubs then you can go where you want.

P.S. Don't read too much into some of the forum posters over there about the quality of the server, they are far better players then most of the guys reading this. The pubs would be no different for you guys,,

Put it this way, you will get NO support from the NA server after this transfer.
Ping times will improve on SEA with another cable being laid between OZ and SEA. (If you have been experiencing bad ping times as most of us on SEA have it is due to a cable breaj in the Java Sea, which should be fixed in the next little while)
In a perfect world, if all the Kiwi's and Aussies came to SEA server, it just makes it better for your own game experiance and for other players.
If you are worried about the skill level on SEA, put it this way. Stay on NA as a King, come to SEA and become a GOD. ;)
With the growth of the game, it may be feasible in the future to have a NZ/Australian server...who knows, but the thing I do know is if the player base is split this possibility will take longer....

In the end Wargaming has made a decision, it is your choice to make life easier or harder for yourself.....

Stemas, with the amount of games etc NZAD would be pleased to have you should you decide to come to SEA.

I don't know where you are getting the '4-8k players at peak times' thing from, as I have said, upwards of 12k players. I seem to remember the same amount in optimum NZ/Australian times on NA server, maybe even less...

And also, I think you will find that most people are english speaking on the SEA server, yes there are a few with language packs installed, and yes, this can be annoying when your Arty is rushing ahead of the scout and won't respond to 'Stop you crazy barstud' but overall, in the NZ and Australian time zones you will be playing with english speaking players on the whole....

I'll leave it there.... it's your choice in the end, just don't grumble about it. :)

Even using the 12K figure you are Touting then That is still crap compared to the 25-35K on the NA server for Peak and a minimum of 8K for off peak NA Time (Peak Aust Time)

Add to that they dont talk so how can you tell if they are english speaking or not, are not friendly and have no battle skills, Well say no more, so as to not be accused of being to negative!!!!

No I'm happy over there. I play CW's at night, tank companies have really taken off and am part of the Oceanic community, which is much better than anything we had on NA. We also have a voice over there unlike here.

The playing standard is what you would expect with a newer server but the level of fail in the pubs is just like the level you get on NA and really it only the smaller minority who have complained on the forums over there and most of them are 55%+ w/r guys and if you have a look on these forums you will have the 55%+ also complaining about the pubs here.

As to the playing numbers you obviously are lying about having a test account if you reckon numbers haven't increased in 5 months. What your "test" account name over there?? In the Oceanic prime time the player number are now greater than on the NA server at the same time. As time goes on the gap will become far greater.

Like I said earlier, you just keep enjoying your pub games...

I just thought I'd chime in late to this thread because I have to agree with the OP. I'm from the US and am currently living in South Korea. I'm just one of many American expats living abroad where the time zones are inconvenient for clan wars. This issue doesn't just affect AU and NZ players.

Of course, I still play on the NA server because it'd be pointless for me to switch to the Korean server. I have nearly 6k games played on my account, I don't speak Korean very well, there's a huge cultural barrier, I'd have to start my grind all over again, and all my friends are still on the NA server and I'd prefer to spend my time platooning with them on the weekends. Additionally, I may only be living abroad for a year or two, at which point I would switch back to the NA server.

So what option is there for me in clan wars? Currently there is none that I'm aware of. But Stemas' suggestion is a simple one that would greatly help out players who are living in different areas of the world but prefer to play on the NA server, or simply those who live in NA but work night shifts or for whatever reason are unable to make it to clan wars at the set time. It would be simple to change the landing times for small sections of the map to be more convenient for those looking to play at a different time than those times set for the NA server.
