I'm about at my whits-end trying to simply renew my account.

The saga started a couple days ago by simply trying to bring up worldoftanks.com and get some gold.

I've since yet to be able so successfully load the entire page, or any page on worldoftanks.com or support.worldoftanks.com.  Yet, the wiki. and forum. sites both work fine.

The problem occurs *after* the DNS resolves, the browser title changes, and then the server tries to load the page.  Which, at times it tries and parts will appear, but other times the page just sits there trying to load indefinitely.

I've exhausted all options locally and narrowed it down to something on WG's webserver or some hop in between my ISP and there.

A list of things tried locally:
  • Reset modem and reboot router
  • Flush DNS cache
  • Clear browser(s) cache
  • Flash is updated
  • Java is updated
  • Verified no viruses or spyware
  • Pingplotter shows no issues between us
  • tracetroutes all look fine
  • I've tried IE9, Firefox, and Chrome and they all show the same symptoms( DNS Resolves normally, page header/title received from server, then never-ending wait on the rest of the content)
  • Tried couple different PC's, 1 Win8, 1 win7, and another Linux box (all the same symptoms as well)
I've about had it, I tried working with a moderators earlier in chat, but all he kept recommending is things I'd already done.

I can't send a ticket as the support. site has the same symptoms and won't load.

I cannot call anyone as they don't have the stones to talk to anyone.

So I'm hoping someone from WG can figure out WTH is going on.

I've had nothing but trouble every time I try to spend money on this game...

iRacerX,

Thank you for posting.

We have tested things on our end and everything seems to be functioning correctly.

Anyone else that is having these same issues please let us know in this thread.

Regards,
~krazyone

What kind of difficulties?

I went ahead and contacted my ISP and they don't see any issues except for the WOT server not responding after DNS resolution for them as well.

I'm not sure where to go from here, I really don't care about accessing the website.

I was just looking to spend some money and renew my account, which none of the WG support staff I've consulted have offered to provide a solution to do so.

But, I guess someone is trying to tell me I should spend my money elsewhere...

I'm not the only one afterall.  Please dig deeper WG.

http://forum.worldof...site-wont-load/

Also just tried playing a game or two and lag spikes are terrible.  Ping plotter showed abnormally high times on the telia.net hops as well as occasional packet loss.

To Wargaming,  I am having Issues also logging in from the Launcher. I tried to play a couple of battles earlier today and had some lag issues now I am unable to log in. The Portal window locks up and no graphics are displayed. Have run PingPlotter and it showed lost packets will try to upload image later.

Thank you.

Well I am having no luck in putting the PingPlotter image here. However it shows that when it gets to the ash-b1-link-telia.net  213.155.130.3 it has a 50% packet loss.

just figured it out on my computer. running firefox go to options>advanced>network>configure how firefox connects to the internet> make sure its set to auto detect proxy settings as mine somehow magically changed itself overnight. prob have a virus or something as I am scanning right now and my Norton had a large update suddenly. check and see if this fixes it for you guys as now the main page loads instantly for me.

Progress.  Seems the website/portal is working again for me and finally got some gold.

Not sure if WG fixed it or the issue just went away, thanks regardless krazyone.

Ran some pingplotter tests and ping still looks a little erratic on the telia.net hops, but no packet loss so far.  We'll see how she acts here in a bit.

Has anyone else tried what Shankmeyster suggested yet? And Shankmeyster were you not able to connect to both the portal and the support site prior to changing the settings in firefox?

Tankers,

When you comment please give as much information as possible if you can. Service provider, have you updated browsers/tried other browsers yet? Updated java/flash? Flushed DNS ect.

Also if you are able to contact support please do not leave a comment here but submit a ticket there instead as it is not the same issue.

Regards,
~krazyone

scratch that, didn't make a difference. It worked once and then I played and came back and it went back to not loading the portal page. I can get to the sign in and the main page but the connection sits for a minute+ and then finally loads the page. saw a bunch of packet loss at the main page and halfway down the pike from my computer. don't know why its doing this all of a sudden as I was able to get to the portal fine yesterday.

i have been unable to connect from my house to either the game launcher, or the forums (but can connect to the portal, and support site) since about 8pm thurdsday, until about 2 minutes ago when i tried again and was able to connect after the launcher downloaded a patch(WTH?) it is now 3:31pm my time.

i was however able to connect from work when i tried around 11:40PM

been having issues similar to but not as bad as this for a few weeks now... is there anyway i can get my premium account put on some form of hold until this is fixed... don't really like paying for a free to play game when i can't actually play it
