You can't, at least Tiger H have a very far forward turret placement and have no hit box right in the middle of the tracks.

You do need tracks to mount the next turret, for the 75mm Hv to be equiped...

The no pen gun with 240 damage sounds like the 3.7 inch howitzer (It's actually 370 or 280...) That gun is a more or less last ditch effort for people who can't really aim. The best gun is the QQF 77mm gun Mk II. Sadly though, it's identical to the HV gun with THREE more pen and FIVE more damage. A lifesaver!

Really? The stock grind for my Church VII was fairly painless, cause I'm fairly certain the HV fits in the stock turret.... either that or something in my game is very, very wrong. In the words of SerB, how terrible...

But mainly, you need to know your weakspots by heart to do well in this tank. I'm sporting a ~70% WR in mine after 40 battles and I have a pretty good damage output in the thing.

Hate to revamp a dead thread, but I figured it's better than making a new one.

I recently got this thing and am winning more than I'm losing so far. I've got the tracks, radio, engine, and the HV gun off of the Churchill I on it right now. Since I don't have the turret or gun upgraded yet, I've been loading about 20-30 gold shells for all the Tier VII tanks I've been seeing. It seems the only way that I can even contribute when mid-bottom tier. Is there anything more beneficial coming in the next upgrades? The turret armor seems to be a substantial upgrade, but I can't see it fairing well against Tier VII tanks. The gun also seems to be a nice upgrade in terms of RoF, but the pen and damage are virtually identical. Is this going to be a Gold Shell Grind?

In all honesty I would just XP skip past the horrid little rot box.

You don't need gold shell for the grind, stick around the heat and your DPM will net you decent xp.

But the problem is to carry the team to win like its mm weight; if it is weight like a TD or med so you have a team with Churchills watching other heavies back then it would excel.

With the churchhill series tanks, when someone is shooting you turn the hull of you tank / or \ with the gun pointing over the tip of your tracks. Meaning if they are slightly to the front right point the right track at the left track of their tank and your gun alil right when not shooting.I used the 77 but tried the 3.7 and fell in love.the 3.7 will hurt anything you see and in a city will allow you to brow if you angle like I said. LOAD HE only with the 3.7I built my skills up so I could be the best support tank since that's the niche the brits excel at. I did view range skills then anything that improves the guns like smooth ride and snap shot. Follow that by repairs if your going pubbies only or driving skills/ cammo if your going into clan wars with this crew.Brits can go hull down by finding a spot where your tanks turret is the only thing showing and always point at what is shooting you. You won't need gold with any gun that you use in these lines but doesn't mean that keeping 5 in your pocket is a bad idea.

churchill 7 isnt a horrible tank, but its just a unbearably slow grind.

I got fed up with the bugger and just free XPed through it to Black Prince (which Black Prince is awesome)

Even if this tank can get access to the 17 pounder gun, it is still not great. I quit WOT for 1 month during my Chuchill VII grind and finally moved on to BP, which is miles better than this POS. Note that BP is also a rather underpowered tank in its tier, but it is still far more enjoyable than Chuchill VII.

The only way to make this tank playble is to either give it a slow ROF 17 pdr, or to give it T7 pref MM.

i really dont get the hate for this. yeah its hard to angle and slow, but i play it as a second line sniper and absolutley wreck with my high dpm.

the tank was supouse to have loads of armor that could be angled to achive even more epic armor at the cost of mobility and firepower, but masive weakspots screw the armor part so we end getting a low armor, weak gun and mobility tank.
-
will repeat this a billon times if neccesary, what the churchills  need is for WG to get rid of the track hitbox, as simple as that.

Well, that part of Churchill VII is historically hull, stowing ammo, radio, kettle etc.

Make the 'catwalk' of the tank space armour and make the road wheels part of the space armour like every other nation, and revise the gun depression of QF77, since WG just took a wild guess on it.

Finally this heavy tank is getting a much needed buff.

Quote

Both turrets traverse nerf from 32 to 30
Both turrets 3.7in howitzer depression nerf from -5 to -3
