Poll: Should Widepark be changed? (306 members have cast votes)

What do you think should happen to Widepark?

This has been a very hated map for me for awhile. It just isn't a very good map. Not only is there a hill separating two teams that must be crossed meaning any tank with no gun depression is screwed, there is a railroad covering most of the hill so no one can cross it. The only viable spot to go through is the tunnel but that is always camped.

It doesn't really help that the north base is mush smaller than the south's. I think I have like a 75% win ratio in the south and like a 40% in the north.

This map is quite fun. There's a lot of nice spots for TDs. If you know how to play your tank, it can work very well. Just study the map a little bit, it's really not that bad.

It isn't that fun when whenever I play south I know I am going to win and when I play north I know I am screwed.

Well, it is only the next logical step.

I mean, WG already cave to the whinning hordes in Dragon Ridge (not my favorite map, I admit) and Serene Coast (wich IMHO was'nt that bad).

Flood gates are open now to ask removal or fixing of every map for the slightest annoyment..

I made a thread about map revision a couple of weeks ago using Widepark as an example, if interested here's the link.

I vote no.  Keep Widepark, it is a fun map.

Remove Widepark? You're funny.

Before you start a "Petition" to remove something, consider the popularity of the map with other people. With Serene coast and Dragon Ridge, you could easily see a lot of hate coming from the forums. It was clear how much people wanted change on those maps.

Widepark? Never on anyone's radar.

So because a map is broken and no one cares we should leave it alone. That makes sense. That's why Campinovka hasn't been fixed in all these years.

If only a very small part of the comunity thinks a map is not good that doesnt mean its bad. For me its a good map, it doesnt matter where i spawn.

The only thing that seems broken is how you're playing the map. Never seen anyone complain about it, till today anyway. Alot of different opportunities on that map to maneuver, hide, sneak n peek etc. If you want to go after a map make it ElHalluf and I'll be all in with you. Feel like a sheep every time that thing comes up, 2 routes, both a hot mess.

One more think you should back up your allegations with a video, screenshots or maybe some statistics showing win rating per spawn point.

You and the other folks who have a problem with either of these maps are in the minority.

The problem with these maps is not in the maps themselves - it is the psychology of the players on them at the time.

Ever since I decided not to camp on either one, they have been good, mobile fights.

If, on ther hand, you rush blindly into the guns of the enemy, which appears to be your style, then your whining is misplaced.

Look to your own playstyle ...

There's nothing wrong with it, no really

quit letting american tanks overrun the hill with their ridiculous gun depression and it's an enjoyable map

No more maps need to be removed. Only Dragon Ridge and Serene camp were bad.
The rest are perfectly fine.
