Vents will increase your crew skills which will affect the tank stats.

This is highly dependent on which medium tank is in question. For example, at tier 6 and above, the majority of the time you would skip a GLD in favor of a Vert Stab. But there are exceptions to this, such as a T69, which really should mount a Vert Stab AND a GLD.

Anything below tier 6, a typical equipment setup for a medium would be GLD/Vents/Rammer. Maybe swap out a GLD or Vents for optics. Depends on the tank and how you plan to play it.

If you have a specific tank you were wondering about, let us know and I can better advise you.

If you want a general kind of answer, vents are always good because they improve everything. After that it depends on the strengths and weaknesses of each tank.

both , get the best of both worlds . The vents + crew skills + commander bonus will stack with gun laying drive , rammers ,vertical stabilizers .

I have never used a GLD on a med. Don't see the point really, is 2.1 sec aim time so much better than 2.3? What a med needs is reload speed so get rammer every time. Then get vents because they give you everything including reload speed. Finally round out the equip with vert stab if you are worried about shooting on the move or optics if you are concerned with spotting. In some limited cases of meds that get ammo racked a lot I could see wet ammo rack, but gun laying drives should be left to russian heavys and arty.

which tank? if your tank's aiming time is below 2.5 sec, get vent. if it is above 2.5 sec, get GLD.

GLD + Vert + Rammer unless your tank aims in extremely quick.

Vents are overrated.

vert stab first,
vents next
then whatever third
GLD if you have a slow aim time
rammer if you have a high rate of fire.

you should always get skills perks that help you place a shot exactly where you want it to go.
vents give you a bonus for everything
vert gives your reticle a much smaller starting size right off the get go, it is a must for any tank that can take it, and any thank that you want to do damage in, (scouts and such are not necessary)

a rammer helps you out very little when compared to the first two items.
unless you are sitting still and firing back to back, a rammer just does not give you much of an overall damage increase when compared to a vstab/vent combo
