Slow speed, low alpha, large weak spots.

Come again?
I've saw the armor model for AT2, don't see any large weak spots for me.

Commander's cupola. If that doesn't work, flank.

Commander's hatch, 102 mm. Any decent tier 5 tank can hit that.

Hit the weak spots, they're slow, they have low alpha, learn to shoot........yada, yada, yada. I just wonder if other people are having trouble with them.....in particular the tier 5 AT2.

I can say for certain the commanders hatch is not 102mm. My SU26 penned two different ones with HE shells through that hatch, and those are ~60 pen rounds.

Up close yes. From further away its much harder to hit.

Top is 50.8 mm.

Well then get up close. Unless you have laser accuracy you can't take them out from a distance, you have to get up close and flank them, and when you do they're completly defenseless.

That's your problem. German tier 5 medium tanks can penetrate it just fine.

British td's are a bunch of junk imo. Finally gave up on this line during tier 6. They can't move, turn, or pen. Enemy scouts/mediums just run around you shooting at you and there is nothing you can do about it but wait to die.  Not my idea of fun.

Rather pointless to ask. Lettuce be reality, every teen poster within 100 mile radius just loves to jump on these posts to ego stroke about how you just have to shoot the weakspots, blah, blah, blah, implication being I'm an awesome tanker who has no problem beating any OP tank and don't realize how transparent I am. Still these tanks have their downside, but probably getting to see the armor nerfed at some point, hopefully with some bigger weak spots. Getting real tired of bouncing shots off that hatch.

I drive the AT series. nobody hits that hatch at long range.

You talk about things you clearly cant actually do. Its amazing to watch really.

Not if you aim at them.or flank them.  Just think how the T95 would rule the world if that wasn't true.

I usually go buy tanks I have trouble with or are tough nuggets.
So I got a AT-2 after giving a few steel walls.
Trouble was I was shooting at them with a 57 mm and at range in front where the faq says it has its weakspots.
Granted the China / RU 57 mm has decent pen and acc figures,  but also has low damage and the tank its in will not last long if the TD can hit it back.
Got one and like it for its gun and toughness.
Also hate it for its low power and its gun.
Plus its not so tough in its tier and above against 75-76-85 mm guns.
Scouts will eat you if your not supported or dopey and off alone.
If you do not mind a better armoured Churchill with no turret its cool.
It sits low but not too low and its sides allow nice angles so you can bounce lots.
It isn't Russian speedy TD with Gun.  Or a German middleweight with a gun.
Its a turtle with a stinger.
If you mix it in with another TD US and a medium platoon it is great piece.
Alone and not supported its a stat.

Define long range. 400+@ meters?

Most people will not hit that hatch reliably from anything over 200m. By the time you move in close I will have already turned you into a smoking wreck.

Sure, but most people aren't "decent".

Mantlet is pennable by 100+pen guns with a 0 armor hole in the middle.

Glacis plate is only 73mm, penned by anything that's slightly above it.

It's slow, you only have to stay off one end of it, not hard at all...

If all else fails, spam it with HE. Especially in the derpy russian heavies that can put out decent damage with their huge shells.

I drive an AT2.  It is amazing how many people either auto-aim or just ping away center mass.  Of course, they never get through the front.  When I run across someone who doesn't panic and knows where to shoot, my tank dies fast enough.

My tank dies fast enough to anyone who knows how to flank, or to artillery.  If I have a platoon mate that can cover my rear, I do a lot better.  Solo, in pubs, I usually can get a few kills, but I die quick from a concentrated attack.

Bottom line, all is well.  Every tank is not supposed to be able to kill every other tank.

......fight them in an M3 stuart and get back to me.

A disclosure that is revealing as to why many players are noobing battles. Too many do not know anything (specs) about the tank they are in and/or the gun/ammo they are using; or do but just cannot accept that their motorscooter ain’t no Harley.
