Working as intended? I guess you better block all accounts right now, and let people verify they are the actual users of that account via their e-mail account, cause this is a huge screw up that could cost your player base their money.
This why WG has decided to WARN its player/customer community that such an event has occurred....and that we all should take appropriate action. This decision to alert us in this manner was not made lightly. Think..just how embarrassing and damaging this can be to them. By letting us know that our passwords may have been compromised..they are giving us the opportunity to help them and OURSELVES by changing our passwords correctly.
Just think about how many times companies get compromised and we never hear anything about it....hmm....tell me this does not happen......cause it does. Especially with CEO's of companies either being lawyers or accountants.....they don't want to jeopardize the bottom line.
I for one salute WG for letting us know about the incident...and I have quickly changed my passwords on both of my WG accounts...ty WG.....now lets go shoot some tanks.
