In higher tier battles, you'll find that the 105 is useful for when you simply aren't able to flank to the sides and rears of targets. Consequently though, when you do get to flank, the damage output of the 105 will generally be lower than the that of the konisch.
In lower tier battles, due to the weaker rear armour of vehicles, you'll find that the HE shells of the 105 will be able to penetrate some targets from the rear, dealing massive alpha damage. Consequentially though, you may have been able to deal more damage with the konisch frontally, if the armour of the target is weak enough.
I don't use HEAT, so I don't really take that into account, and anyway, it's getting nerfed next patch. Either way, both guns are good, and can be useful depending on what situation you are in. Conversely, you'll also find yourself in situations in which you'll wish you'd equipped the other gun.
And to Blackhawk874: The 105 is for when you *can't* penetrate your targets.
