I think the idea is that you would've already researched either of the two upgrades from the S-35CA. (One is a Tier VII 90mm, the other a Tier VI 105mm) Generally, players who are too lazy/impatient to get upgrades like that end up having it bite them in the ass later on. (See: Players who don't unlock the 90mm from the M6 going into the T29 with only a 76mm gun.)

I just bought this TD and sincerely consider false advertising can not even use the cannon researched tier 5.

Load up the enhanced suspension equipment. Its a little pricey but it will make your life so much easier.

I would not complain about the beginning gun because when you get the highest weapon it is a great gun.  Too bad the rest of the TD does not get better.  It is still very hard for most to play and succeed at it.
