Okay is it just me or is it to hard to make money in a T54 in normal random matches?

I can have killed 3 tanks... 2 x is7 and a t54 having 20 shots with 19 hits and i loose 3K on money??

Repair/Ammo costs are just to high in my opinion.

And if you vote no also tell me why. I want to check if your also T54 driver.

20 Shots,, so depends on if you are using the 250 ammo or the 1250 ammo, the difference there is 20k a game.

Me and lathieza were driving together and got similar stats. He lost 3k credits in his t54 while i made close to 30k in my t44. Shooting the same targets with similar amount of shells hit.

Edit; And yes, he has premium and elite t54.

Then again, there's a tier difference between the T-44 and the T-54.

Weren't high tier tanks supposed to not make money, particularly when using the biggest guns with the most expensive ammo? Did I miss some new memo?

I voted no, and I don't drive a T54.  

it's a beast of a tank, and should cost you full balls to keep it up.
If you want to be able to swan around the battle and make loads of money, go VK3001 or KV3, both of which I do drive, and I make bags of money on them, XP isn't so great but that may not be the tank, might be me.
I have been clubbed by T54's in recent games and it looks like agreat tank, but only when you are fighting me in a '43 KV3.

Wait for the British armour and the Centurion ( hurry the fuck up Developers).  And then see if you still love your T54.

Without premium and last gun you wont make any money. But with LB1.. its a crazy money making machine. A full refill costs 10k max so with 20-30 shots fired you pay 4-6k and max repair is ~15k for a T54. Even without premium you can easly make 25-30k in a game (with premium 40-60k+) so you can net a profit. Rgiht now my T54 is my moneymaker number one.

I don't own T-54 (although I had a T-44 before the soft wipe and am going to get it again), but I would like to ask: Would using the cheaper 100mm gun take all the edge off of your T-54? I have read from other threads (and now when I look it's also mentioned here) that the ammo cost is huge for the "best" gun on T-54, while the "second best" gun has about the same ammo cost as any other Soviet 100mm gun in the game.

I remember people complaining about the same thing with T-44, saying that it's too expensive to use. And when I asked what gun they use, they said they used the 122mm gun. Which, of course, eats money like crazy, because of the high ammo cost. I made profit or at least broke even with my T-44 while on premium because I used only the 85mm and the 100mm gun.

Anyway, high tier anything isn't supposed to make credits even on premium. This is the devs' plan to keep pub battles fair, by keeping people from playing only with their high tier stuff... and I sorta agree with them. Tier 9-10 vehicles are meant for battles that really mean something, tournaments, cups, clan battles, etc. In pub battles they aren't profitable.

But yeah, just my experience, opinions and speculation. You're free to disagree.

I really dont understand how loosing credits when playing a close to perfect game is ok with you ppl. Yes its a good tank, and yes the best gun on a tier 9 tank should cost to use.
But think about this; When i go around owning tanks in my tier 9 heavy i usually make at least 30k every game with the best gun. So how on earth can you defend the fact that doing the same in a t54 should net you with a loss in credits, beats me.

off topic; i dont understand how all the ppl complaining about the t54 bein OP are playing this game. Maybe they expect to 2-3 shot everything in the game, I certainly have no problems with taking down a t54 in a 2-3 tier lower tank. I will not tell you how because some things you just have to figure out yourselves     But it involves NOT going at it without backup and shooting tracks ftw. Just like you would any other tank that is higher tier than you.

I have an elite T-54 and have no problem making money.

With the LB-1 it's like an ATM that pumps out a profit of 10,000+ credits on a loss and 20,000+ credits on a win!

With the D-54 I've been making money as well, although not nearly as much.  Losses are usually about even for me and a win results in roughly 5-10,000 profit.

Considering this is a Tier IX tank I have absolutely no issue with how much money I'm making.  In fact, I thought I'd have to use my IS or T-34 to grind out some money while playing the T-54 but it hasn't been necessary at all.  I make more money in this than I do in my T-44.

I'm averaging about 850xp per battle on premium.

Id really want some devs explanation about best t54 gun ammo costs, although i dont have that gun on my t54 yet just LB1 i saw some strange scores from friends...

For example a friend with fully upgraded t54 got over 1.7k exp in game earned 45k credits and got a sniper. Dont know if he survived the game but his ammo cost in that game was 46k. So what he had a good game and because of ridiculous ammo costs he lost money in a good won game ?

T54 vs VK4502:
VK gun has better penetration, a lot higher damage, lower DPS and accuracy and still T54 gun ammo costs a lot more than VK ammo ? Isnt this stupid ?

Over 1.2k per shell for a fast firing gun is just idiotic

Although i dont have best t54 gun im still 100% sure VK4502 will be making more money than t54 cause of amazing costs for mediocre gun

Yeah on good games, still alive and win, where I get sniper, confederate, I still manage to loose say 3k credits.

I don't know how its really possible to lose money on this tank, unless you just shoot out ammo without actually hitting anything. It's not the best money maker in the game with such expensive shells but it does not struggle to break even.

In the past T44 is expensive, often costing 16K to repair. Also not getting enough credits using the D10T; now after the patch with the hitpoint boost the average repair cost of the T44 is 10 to 12K, if ammo rack exploded its about 14 to 16K.   So in other words T44 now get a average credit boost.

T54 with the top gun is kinda like the T44 before the patches with the 100mm D10. With T54 fully upgraded,  bad games you can lose alot, good games you can get alot, or bad games you can lose very little, and good games gain very little.  Its inconsistent, that's the problem.

Top gun I make 20k profit. 50k matches with about 25k in ammo. If I'm a tit and die I usually loose 6k, but you slowly make a profit on premium with the top gun. I can break even and profit with a loss if I deal enough damage.


If you can't get a profit with the first two guns considering you have hax armour, perhaps this game ain't for you.
