So Xbox One is announced yesterday.  Some hype, some cool ideas, some puzzling items (what, no SSD option?  Really?)

In 2012 a thread was run here about whether WoT would come to Xbox 360 or PS3.  Everyone said... "never" or "no freaking chance".

Then this came out in July...

http://www.examiner....studio-purchase

and the next Gen consoles are coming to drain you wallet just in time for Christmas.

Time to revisit the question.

Personally, I think it's inevitable.  I just would like to see an option where the game could be ported to a unique controller as I can't run a game controller as efficiently as a mouse and k/b.

Forget that, I think it is super-human to be able to play WoT on a console controller. There are too many buttons for a controller to have that are required, especially the team chat hot-keys (I.E. F7 = HELP!), and the guns would be too fidgety with the console controller (mouse is much more steady).

We all know that it was inevitable, but we know that it won't work (unless you get one of those virtual platforms, which I think would be cool. Have your own physical tank turret to play the game in, that would be sweet!)

SSD's are too overpriced to be mainstream, not to mention consoles are sold at a loss because each system would cost too much for the average consumer, adding an SSD would double the price

WoT on consoles will suck. To be usable for a controller it would have to be modified to a point of easy mode.

It would be like arty but for all tanks.

Actually, controllers have plenty of buttons to make World of Tanks and other games work. Granted, the request system would be utilized by a wheel-based system, but that's already in-game. I wouldn't mind World of Tanks being on the next generation consoles as they've finally learned their lessons and are more PC-like now, but at the same time that won't make me go spend $400 on one of them.

For most yes.  An option would be nice though.  SSD upgrade is a huge benefit on the PC.

They said they're expanding their development. they did not say they were allowing world of tanks on consoles.  Or did I not read it right?

Consoles controllers would kill most players.  Mouse and KB is the only way to accurately aim (which is why console shooters are crap... well other than being rehashes 10 times over).

Personally, two joysticks would make aiming interesting.   I know Red Orchestra I actually enjoy the keyboard aiming controls for tanks, no cheap idiot proof mouse aiming system on that game.  xD
