Ok so I saw that the t26e4 is going to be removed in order for WG to fix its incorrect armor layout
http://worldoftanks....nges-86-update/
But what I really want to know is if they are going to give it the gun stats it deserves? I think we are all aware of how UP the gun is especially compared to its RL counterpart, I have also seen some sources stating it had 550hp? (i can't remember where but I'll look for them later) what do you all make of this? (also first thread made plz go easy on meh)

Yeah - no hope for super pershing. That's why they are giving you offer to sell it back!

The hull nerf has to be rebalanced with compensating buffs, so much so that WG is offering a full refund to players and pulling it from the shop

unless they are making this tank a true med regardless of the buffs this tank is nerfed since it is bassicaly a heavy

There is NO way it can become a true med for 2 reasons 1. 7 tons of extra armor hanging off the front2. An engine that Prolly never made more than 550hp These two things combined make this tank slow no matter what, and I don't really understand your "it's nerfed cuz it'd be a med" statement can you clear up your post a bit? Not trying to come off as rude I just want to know what you really mean

This is what i mean. The super pershing right now has the role of a heavy it is most simalier to being a t8 tiger p. God like armor for its tier but a bad gun and bad mobillity. If you are going to nerd the armor it makes this tank obselete because the only saving grace of this tank is the armor unless they remove all the armor and add a powerfull engine and turn it into a real med it is in all ways a nerf because we all know t8meds never get a 100mm plus gun

They're taking the SP away for 'historical' purposes (which makes me lol). They said they're re-balancing the armor, which is sucking in the last couple of patches due to gold ammo (and personally i think they nerfed the armor already.) So maybe this could be a BUFF and not a NERF. But this is WG so you never know.

Well that's why I want them to buff the gun like someone on these forums said once the gun was what made the super perishing super in the first place, all that extra armor was added later in the field. The whole point of the thing IRL was to have a gun that would compete with the long 8.8 on the tiger 2, it could penetrate 330mm of armor at 100 yards! (with APCR I believe)

Holy crap! The SP must be well and truly borked in 8.6. They *never* offer gold refunds!

Not sure I'm going to sell my SP after the changes are made to it.  One of the big reasons I bought it was because I read about it's development and deployment in "Death Traps", by Belton Cooper.  The armor was a bonus.

I'm looking forward to seeing what buffs they will bring to compensate for the armor changes.

So, they are offering a gold refund, however, they also joked that when it returns after being taken away, it may actually cost more gold than it currently does. If that's true, I'm guessing it'll go down like this:

SP removed from store
Some time later, just before they return it to the store, they will offer a refund to players (7200g) but before players actually see what the new SP is.
The period that people have to refund the tank ends.
The new SP is made available armor nerfed, stats in other areas slightly buffed to compensate (not major stuff but enough to make people look and say, see they didn't just nerf it), it now costs more gold so that anybody that now sees the upgraded stats and wants it back has to pay more gold than they got refunded.

What people seem to forget is how all those numbers are based on APCR hitting soft test plates.

I definitely support a buff to the AP round (even if I don't have a SP), but I would not support using incorrect numbers.

Yes 330mm of pen with APCR but this gun was lengthened and the shell was made bigger to have more propellant you don't make changes like that and only get 10mm more pen regular AP should be the 200mm pen area me thinks, the French 90mm DCA 45 gets 212mm of pen and it has a similar shell speed of around 1000 m/s

You know, how many times can Wargaming fuck us, ( without the courtesy of a reach around mind you ) in the middle of a pouring rain storm and keep telling us it's sunny out ! I for one will wait this last one out but do not think this game is for me anymore!!!
