Hello guys,

One of my friends actually decided to play WoT(on the EU server, of course) but he'a having some fps problems- he runs the game at 5-12 fps... Which is not convenient...

I've heard of Game Booster but he doesn't really want it because it disables some stuff(??? Does it??). I've also heard of reducing the texture's qualities(open the texture files via Photoshop or Paint.NET and save thim with lower quality) but I don't know which files is this about and if it works.

Can anyone help us to increase his FPS or if anyone knows where are those files that should be 'edited'?

H4LP!!1!

P.S: He runs the game through a flash device.

PC parameters:
Double AMD core 3 Ghz
RAM 2GB
512MB video card... Integrated

5-12 is beyond awful, my completely junky laptop will run it at over 20.  SO that may/ most likely call for a hardware upgrade.  Besides that, there is that foliage mod that removes all the bushes and things which help= not sure if allowed on Eu server.  Also, naturally turning all graphics to lowest settings except the object LOD and draw distances.

Well, he is running at minimal graphics and doesn't really want to upgrade atm.

I wonder if the FLASH DRIVE affects the performance??

Flash drive? LOL!

Integrated graphics are the problem.

That generates the frames, there's NOTHING you can do about it, other than playing at a LOWER RESOLUTION

As long as he runs the game on that he'll have to make do with terrible graphics and framerate. Lower the resolution, play at minimum settings, download tweaks all you want, but playing WoT on that is like showing up to the Indy 500 with a volkswagen beetle. Yeah, it'll 'work', but you're never going to get a good result. Ever.

The only way he's going to achieve lag-free game play is getting a new computer. There's computers that you can build for only $300-350 and they will play World of Tanks (1080p), BF3 (720p), and any other mid-range games with generally acceptable fps (30+),

Have him invest in an inexpensive 1gig video card, that alone will double his fps and allow him to play reasonably well. After that download and run GBoost, it does turn a few things off (and the settings can be easily tweaked), that will increase his fps another 5 to 10.

At this point he should be running about 30 fps pretty consistently with minimal lag issues.

It's all a matter of perspective; my son's friend plays at the level you describe and he does fine. Then he comes to my house to play and he loves my son's computer, but my son would rather play on mine because it runs the game about 10 fps better....

If you really want it to jump update video card and get a better Internet service that will give for faster download speeds. (Either that or just deal with it like I did)

lol at this.
He's on a laptop most likely. And those cannot be upgraded except for ram and maybe the hard drive. Plus if you need to replace your board.....then you pretty much need to replace everything else with it. So upgrading a computer for 100$'s.....Is a poor statement, as if one major thing goes, odds are you'll need to replace everything else with it.

As for your freind he can just deal with it or play arty. My FPS is often floating down into that range it's not too terrible.

never.... and I mean NEVER, in over 12 years, has my FPS increased as my ISP has increased my download speed. I'm currently in the UK with a fibre optic connection of 110 down and 10.25 up and I'm still no better off in FPS rate. Nor has it made my ping drop to the Server in the US

Stop talking bo**ocks
