Is the tier 8 T32 worth getting?  I heard it was basiclly the same as a t29?  or should I go for the IS3 first?

Worth getting. Only weakness is the lack of pen, but that can be fixed with gold rounds.

If you play it right it is a damned monster.

Whereas the IS-2 is good if you don't mind losing money firing premium rounds.  Otherwise it's crap.

I really enjoyed my T32. It's probably not as good as T29 compared to its tier, but it is certainly still a decent tank. Has decent hull armor, nigh-impenetrable turret armor, nice depression and view range, and decent mobility.

Gun is the only thing that could use improving, but it's still more then enough for tier 8 battles. Struggles a bit vs 9 and 10 though.

Isn't the T26E4 a better deal? 7200 Gold for pretty much the same tank?

The t32 is a briliant tank, and hull down is your friend.

Neither T32 nor IS-2 are premium..... could you be thinking about T34? Which is not similar to T26 in any way.

The T26E4 is premium tank so it is better for grinding credits and medium tank crews. T32 is an actual heavy tank with a better gun, and less weak spots.

The T32 is certainly worth getting.  When played correctly, it's a very good tier 8 tank.  The gun pen is the worst part for this tank.  However, with the changes in 8.6, aiming for soft spots will limit this drawback.  I also carry a few gold rounds in case I find a target that is difficult to pen.  This tank wasn't a difficult grind to tier 9.
The WOT video on this tank is a must watch.

Once you know how to protect hull and where to aim it's monster tank. If you do well in T29 facing tier 9's T32 does everything better. If you hate T29 gun against higher tiers you'll hate T32 more.

The OP was asking about the T32 and IS-2, not about buying a tier 8 premium.

Imagine T29 that looks like a beefed up Pershing, with the best turret armor+mantlet in the GAME, higher ROF, better hull armor, and better acceleration. Also more HP, obviously.

its a great tank.but like so many have said get it in a hull positon and gold rounds are a must in this beast.
leads to the m-103 which i just luv.

if you do go for the is-3 your still getting a very good tank that loves a good scrap.
luv my is-3
