After reading the income changes for 8.6, I saw the tank marked as VK 7001 (K). I googled it and found out that this was the code name of the Lowe. So in the patch notes, it said that it's income is decreasing by 13%(okay I can stand that) but the repair costs are DOUBLING!!!!. Is this true or the VK 7001 (K) means something else?

P.S And I was planning to ge a Lowe this summer :(

P.P.S I played it on the test, seemed like an okay credits earner without premium account

T34 and KV-5 are my biggest money makers. kV5 alone can carry my silver load pretty much by itself.

The changes are to the VK 72.01 (K). It is a tier 10 heavy that was only released to super testers. So nothing to worry about regarding the Lowe. changes like that would negate any profit for the Lowe and means people wouldn't buy it any more. And then WG wouldn't make money off it which is all that they care about

Dont buy lowe! It too slow to play for long turn. I have had 2670 games, Im tired of it.

I love my Lowe even though I've only had 620 battles in it.

If you mount 100 octane it's really not that bad.And besides the gun more than makes up for being slow.

Ive played it multiple times on test, watched a ton of guides, and played  some slow tanks as well. Plus I plan to research the German Heavy line further, and i think the Lowe suits me best.

Sincerely, MajorMax

Don't buy a LOWE, it's a joke. "Elite Heavy Tank" pfft, the only characteristic that matches that title is that is it slow. It's armour is non existent, I just played a battle where I got raped by a tier 6 TD shooting me in the front. They have nerfed it to the point where it should be called a medium. It's ridiculous really.

T34 is a more friendly and fun tank to play, much less squishy armor wise and if you know how to go hull down, it is a much better tank. It is faster, has a comparable gun, and much better turret armor. Probably more worth your while.
IS-6 is also a better alternative if you like brawling tanks. A ton of fun to play and will troll people with armor.
FCM is excellent at flanking and don't be fooled: It is not a heavy. Decent gun, good speed, good mobility, crap armor.

Lowe is pretty much a sole sniper though, and can't really get up close and box like the other tier 8 heavies can. It has no speed (FCM does) it has no armor (IS-6/T34 do,) and it doesn't get preferential MM (IS-6 and FCM do) so you will see tier ten games in which it will not fair nearly as well as a T34 would. The only thing it does better than anything else is having an accurate, super punchy, high damage gun. That is it.

Yes, the best trait of the Lowe is the accurate gun.  Though, with the accuracy improvements of recent patches, it's ability over others was lessened in this regard.

The T34 gun does more damage, and has more pen.

Can anyone explain why the Lowe costs so much?  It's definitely not because it's "better".  Maybe because in real practice the tank would have been much more expensive to make? :P

It is an arbitrary number created by Wargaming. What's funny is that more people will actually buy the most expensive tanks compared to the less expensive ones, because they assume it is better, and people who actually spend money desire quality.
More a marketing strategy than actually being a better tank, or having increased credit income.
