[0.8.6][Help Required] Deegies-Sights - Best Crosshair

Hi Everyone!

I am working on porting deegies-sights to World of Tanks 0.8.6. I must say I am very close to be done but I also need some help.

Actually, the crosshair is fully working or is very close to work perfectly. It looks like a lot of changes have been done to res\scripts\client\avatarinputhandler python file. I have reverse engineered the python file from World of tanks 0.8.5 and 0.8.6 (Common Test) and also deegies-sights files which are from 0.8.5. I have checked what were the change from the original 0.8.5 and deegies's one and applied the same changes to the 0.8.6 python files. It looks to have worked well but only one file is still broken :/ and it is where I need help.

I am unable to make a res\scripts\client\AvatarInputHandler\Control_Modes.pyc right. I mean, I apply all the changes that were done from original 0.8.5 and deegie's one into the 0.8.6 but the game gets stuck on the loading. (The Battle Loading). If I remove this patched file from res_mods, the battle loads fine and the crosshair seems fine aswell but if this file is patched, there must be a reason.. but what?? I can tell that the penetration isn't showing when we aim enemy, is that file needed for it?

I found the issue. It looks like control_modes.pyc isn't reverse engineered properly and I am unable to do it right :/

Yep and I am scared the author wont support it anymore :(

I can tell that the penetration isn't showing when we aim enemy, is that file needed for it?

I believe it is the one controlling penetration display.

Sorry, but i really dont know what files needs to be replaced, there are a lot of files and i dont know how to use them.

if you are testing this on live server 8.5 that could be one issue. u cant expect future content (test server) info to work correctly on a current (live) server. if you are committing changes for this implying the 8.6 data set it could be a big reason why it wont work at the moment.

You can't use these files, they are reverse engineered python file. If you're good enough to compile them, it will be alright ;)

why bother, he made it for 8.5 he will make it for 8.6 as well. be paitent and use jimbos or KISS4X till then.. BAMB!! issue solved

He won't support it for 8.6. I really want this mod back, its awesome. Thanks so much James! :D Keep up the awesome stuff. Hope one day you;ll find it and publish it :)

give me both files and tell me how to open it and ill compare em side by side .. when i have time. i work alot but i can figure it out.

I have no idea what you want me to add, I am not supose to add anything, the original file is working, if I reverse engine it and recompile it, first the new file doesn't have the same size has the original (it is smaller) and also, it makes the game stuck on the Battle Loading screen :P It shouldn't be breaking anything since I am not even modifying it that it breaks.. Also, I am using new files from 0.8.6, I am not trying to reuse old 0.8.5 files on 0.8.6, I am not that noobish ;)
