You'll get more clicks if you include ad.fly-free links, works well on minecraft forums at least. Google's URL shortener works good for tracking stats, supports SSL too.

If 50¢/month is worth it keep the ads, but honestly why bother unless the mod's popular? eg. Jimbo probably gets around $100/month for his crosshair mod. I make that much taking a break in the rest room on a Friday afternoon at work. lol So while I wouldn't mind an extra hundred a month, anything less wouldn't be worth the hassle, for me anyway.

Well, I am a poor german student, who needs every penne he can get  :tongue:
Anyway, removed adverts from the links, but still using adf.ly for tracking stats. It was the easiest way to simply switch link mode.

Cliffs won with 13 votes (NA, ENG, GER forums). 2nd is Himmelsdorf with 12 votes and El Hallouf 3rd with 11 votes. As you can see it was really close.
Tomorrow cliffs will be uploaded, maybe there will be Himmelsdorf and El Hallouf too, since it was SOOO close  :smile:

Regards.

Would be a heck of a lot easier making these changes in the world editor. Having to constantly quit and start the game to try out each change gets old fast. Mod looks good bud keep at it.

After I finished installing the 0.8.7 (since today released for EU server) patch I noticed, that they changed the lighting on Port... it looks absolutly uggly! That's why you can now download the old lighting settings.

Download via Google Drive

Mirror via Zippyshare

IMPORANT: Copy the file to res_mods\0.8.7\system\data !!!

Regards.

Is it just me or Karelia's lighting needs to lower saturation or something, lil bit "hurting eyes".

I tested it with 2 other guys and already played some matches with the new lighting setting... didn't noticed too high saturation... I'll look through the settings later and reduce the bloom a little bit for you :blinky:

How to reduce the saturation:
Go into your res_mods\0.8.7\system\data folder and edit the XML-flie "sky01_karelia" with any text editor.
You have to change the sunLumMultiplier. Try this settings:

<environment>
	  <skyLumMultiplier> 3.450000 </skyLumMultiplier>
	  <sunLumMultiplier> 2.320000 </sunLumMultiplier>
	  <ambientLumMultiplier> 0.550000 </ambientLumMultiplier>
	  <fogLumMultiplier> 1.800000 </fogLumMultiplier>
</environment>

Regards.

v3.0.01 is now online
Improved lighting is now available for the new added/reworked maps. It now also removes the fog, that came with 0.8.8

Enjoy :honoring:

Thank you!  Awesome mod.

Is there any chance you could remove the dust/haze in Mines and El Halluf?  It's annoying...  So many of your maps are soooooo beautiful.

I have multiple friends who have commented how much they love your maps.

Thanks for your hard work!!!

This is a bloom effect that came with 0.8.8, I'll remove it in v3.1, until then I recommend switching of "Post Processing" in the graphics settings.

Regards :honoring:
