this is an excellent mod
9.5/10
the reason it's not a perfect score is that some maps like Port and Pearl River gave it a late afternoon darker effect so it's a disappointment for me
but you know, it's just a critique
I'll be waiting for the other maps

Are there any plans to release 8.9 version ? Just asking, no hurries. I will try 8.8 - if it works.

Yes, there will be a 8.9 version. The 8.8 version works fine with 8.9 :honoring:

Any idea what time you'll be releasing it? I'm sad to have only found it in 8.8 now that it's 8.9. I am excited to try this!

I have so much other stuff/work to do right now and there isn't enough time left for stuff like modding... I feel ashamed to say, that I haven't started yet creating a version for 8.9.
Also I've got a new PC and now have to move all my files, including my modding tools and files...

But as stated above, the version for 8.8 still works fine with 8.9
I have so many cool ideas for the future, but not the time for all the stuff...
I am a 18 year old student from germany and right now there are so many exams I have to learn for, so there won't be an update for quite a while

The only reason, why I am playing WoT these days, is the second CW campaign running on the EU server and the fact, that I have to support my clan...

It's fine, I have a mod I run as well. I am also a student, and totally understand the whole Real Life before WoT thing, I only just updated my mod that I last updated in 8.3.

Good luck in your studies, I have no problem with you putting your school first!

I decided to update my mod to 0.8.10. This means I have to build it from scratch again...

I therfore created a new thread on the EU forums. There might be also a new thread coming on the NA forums.

Think you'd be able to make a version that works with the fog remover mod? http://forum.worldof...ra-fog-remover/

The fog makes me lag to crap, but the lighting is wonderful :medal:

Sorry for the late response, but I am on vacation right now and internet is a rare resoucre here

I already created such a version last week due to a request on the german thread.

You can download it >>here<<

1.) install the "all in one" improved lighting mod

2.) install my fog remover (copy and replace)

3.) Enjoy ILM + fog remover :blinky:

EDIT: I forgot the link

I don't even want to play wot without this mod.  The game is too ugly and bland.  I don't understand how WG can't take a hint from your mod and improve there own lighting.  I especially like the lighting on the redshire map.  Somehow that lighting seems to really emulate actual daylight much better than any of the others.  In fact I might try to set up all the maps with that lighting if i can figure it out.  Anyway 9.0 is here and I can't stand to play wot again without this mod.  Your probably busy with school but I'm looking forward to using this mod again.  Thanks for your hard work!

Yes, I was indeed... I had to write my final exams :blinky:

I updated the mod once again, since I've got lots of time now. It works with WoT 0.9.0 (you have to rename the 0.9.1 folder to 0.9.0) and it only features 4 maps right now, but I'm working on more maps

As usual head over to the european forum by clicking this link.

Some guys on the EU server had problems with the brightness on Severogrosk when using the mod, since they turned the gamma all the way up...

Please note, that this mod is optimized for 50% gamma!

It is optimized for 50% gamma, since it is the default value and since gamma is fixed to 50% in windowed mode.

I could optimize it for any possible gamma setting, BUT I want the mod to look the same whether you're playing in full screen or in windowed mode. I am personally playing in windowed mode (with the taskbar hidden) in order to switch faster between TS and WoT, so I definitely won't optimize it for anything else than 50%.

Thanks for your understanding. :honoring:

The mod got an update in order to celebrate its first birthday (23.07.2013).

The maps Himmelsdorf and Swamp were added.
