Great, Merry Christmas. I reduced it to 0.1 seconds and now I can block it completely.

Is there going to be an update for 9.0?

I've found this essential and have used it since 8.7

It's part of the default WOT client, has been a couple of versions.

If you press [Enter], it'll show you the last X many messages.

The new default behavior isn't quite as good as that addon, in my opinion, but it is there.

Wow! didn't  realise this.

Very useful to know.

Thanks

... although I would still prefer an update if possible? ...

One can also just use the "Yasen Krasen Messenger" mod and it has a setting in it, that you can change the duration.

It's in my mod pack.  I have mine set for 40 or something.

This gives a messed up display in the battle results window using the current WOT client. You can follow these directions to update your messenger.xml though:

1. Install Z-zip (it's free)

2. Using Windows File Explorer right click and extract:  <INSTALL_DIRECTORY>\res\packages\gui.pkg

3. Inside this archive extract gui\messenger.xml

4. Edit the XML with a program like WoT Binary XML Viewer/Editor. The XML contains non-standard encoding else I'd recommend Notepad++ or Notepad.

5. In the XML file search for: <name>lifeTime</name>. The following line will be something like <value>10</value>. "10" is the number of seconds chat messages display in-battle.

6. Modify the file as you wish, then save it too: <INSTALL_DIRECTORY>\res_mods\0.9.20.1.4\gui\messenger.xml (replace "0.9.20.1.4" with whatever version of the client you're using)
