Yeah, but the armor on the side is fairly thin for Tier 8, so it's tricky.  Hull-down is much more reliable.

In theory anything can side scrap. Even Lee.
In practice, no, you can not, hull is to large when compared to turret, it will be hard (read as: you will die) to remain in side-scrapping position with ability to shot back. Just absorbing shots is still possible.
Instead you should focus on being hull down.

barely... your turret is the best armor in game.... completely impenetrable(save maybe heat round from obj. 268) Hull down is really your only option. US heavy's are notorious for crap hull armor

Is there a guide to side scraping?

I'm entirely sure even a heat round from a 268 can get through the mantlet. I could be wrong, but it has well over 500mm+ of effective armour there.

A Reverse side scrap may be better then a normal one, but as noted above, your best bet is hull down.

Some videos on YouTube as well.  If I recall there is one featuring two T32 side scraping.

Commander's hatch is somewhat small but not too difficult to hit at close range so be careful at the ranges in which you hull down. But yes, hull down is your best option.

Not the nicest way of putting it, but it is good to point out that scrap =/= scrape and scraping =/= scrapping.

I love the hull-down trolling the T32 is capable of inflicting on the enemy.  Last night on Live Oaks, I helped to hold off 3 tanks from our cap due to the small depression on the north side of the cap circle.  I didn't take a single point of damage, but received a potential of 2300 dmg against the mantlet.  It was hull-down awesomeness.

haven't tried it but i love the little houses in malinovka on south side of the map where enemies can only see your turret, that way i took 6500 potential damage xD
i should buy back the T32 when i get E5 and KV1S

Side scraping is possible on many tanks. But the way most people do it they should call it gifting HP.

You can side scrape in any tank.  The extreme angle is what bounces/auto bounces most shots,  it's just not as effective in a light side armor tank because when they don't angle bounce they will most likely pen, versus something with 100mm side armor which even if the angle does cause a bounce its still 100mm at 80+ degree slope.

I think the T29/T34/T30 do it better than T32 due to better turret position. T32 cannot effectively bear the gun on its enemy when reversing.
