In this thread you can ask Developers about WoT things you are interested in.

This thread is being regularly cleaned up so that only players' questions and developers' answers remain.
In order to retain readability, developers' answers can be grouped by amount of up to dozen in a single post posted below.

  • Any kind of spam, flooding, off-topic comment = 5 days of read-only ban

The PT-76 and PT-85 may also make excellent potential premium vehicles. Hey, I am giving you ideas on making more money out of premium vehicles  :Smile_great:

Overlord, has it at all been considered that the prime reason why there are so many complainers, whiner, and Russian bias callers is due to how much information the development team does withhold? I mean, the only reason why we found out how blatantly biased the Russian camo advantage was, was due to someone decrypting an important file. Without that we would have never known how full of crap the camo system really was, and possibly still is. Those pieces that are not given to public are considered to be not essential for getting fun from the game. We don't want players spend hours calculating and accounting.

All exp counts, including both doubled and x5. If you get 10k per battle, 500 will go to free exp.

The trees that haven't been run over work the same way as bushes, ie provide camo bonus.

If the impact angle exceeds 70 deg the shell bounces.

Hey, guys, no point in browbeating Overlord over percieved imbalances. He's just a PR guy, so he doesn't write code or anything. He's also pretty nice compared to the devs on the Russian forum, so don't be too mean to him :)

Will the French tanks that can't use their secondary main guns recieve any temporary buffs until those guns are useable?

1. Have no relation to PR actually. :) However thanks for the support.

2. French will be balanced with their counterparts from the very beginning. Certain rebalancing may be needed upon the of multi turrer/gun feature.

Rampage, the T34 is being kicked to teir 8 special premium. Its gun is being moved down a notch on the replacment tank as literaly an intermediate gun to a high power 120mm gun that is the  M103s main gun.

And IS-4 is being moved up to tier 10, yet they can still make changes to it for "gameplay reasons"?

Just because it's being replaced doesn't mean they can't make changes to it in the meantime. People still have to play it until the end of December, and it's been terrible since November of last year. There have been plenty of opportunities to give the T34 SOMETHING, yet it's continually ignored. Even while making claims like "Balance above all!"..

We're still 2 months away at the very least from the replacement of T34 with M103, and I'm willing to wager that in this big list of upcoming changes, the T34 sees nothing. And if it does, it'll be a nerf.

It could receive a nerf as an early preparation for it's transition into a T8 premium, similar to how they nerfed to the dispersion for the T30 to "prepare" for its transition into a TD that is X amount of months away. Such a joke, i wouldnt be surpised if they buffed the IS-4 to its T10 status before it is even T10.

did overall accuracy in world of tanks get really bad after 6.7 or is it just me ? because i am a pretty good shot and i have a hit ratio of 61 percent so i don't think its me.

Don't you think the game is more balanced if both teams have a T-50 to scout, instead of one team having 3 and the other not having a single scout?
Why the game is becoming more unbalanced with every patch?

the last time the IS-4 was touched was in July and that was this:

- Added machine-gun slot to the model of top turret of IS-4

the last time the IS-4 had a buff was way the freak back in December of last year. That's nearly a year ago.


Question: the wording of your explanation of the new tracer system is a bit weird, and I'm not sure I understand it. Do you mean that if an enemy tank that is not spotted fires its gun within 445 meters and in a 25 degree cone in front of my tank, I will see its tracer?

Spotting tank is at the tip of the cone. The cone is roughly 25 degrees wide and 445 meters long. If an enemy tank fires within that cone and is not spotted, will I see his tracer? Will I see tracers that fly through that cone? Does the cone depend on where my camera is pointed? Or is it dependent on hull or turret?

Overlord: Questions about critical hits that do zero HP damage. This DOES happen, particularily since .6.7 I am talking about shots that penetrate, destroy one or more modules, but do no HP damage.  

1 - Why does this type of hit exist?
2 - Why does the player not recieve credits/xp for non-damage critical hits?

to add on to this question' is anything being done about HE shots of large guns (think 122 & 152) that hit at point blank and cause no damage

I have recently read that premium tanks like the kv-5 and pz b2 are not getting second guns. Will you please clarify because I am doubting getting my kv-5 now. Since those r2s won't fire....

3. Matchmaking now takes into account the number of battles played on particular vehicles. Vehicles with few battles have reduced battle tier spread. Modules and installed equipment don't count.
